It’s time for the annual Organizational Value Rankings for the Ottawa Senators!
Brandon Piller and Ross Levitan ranking all 63 players in the organization! This is the fifth time we’ve done these rankings on the show. Today we start at the bottom and take a look at some unknown players and developing prospects! The 2024 Prospect Challenge was underway this weekend with some underwhelming play, back to back losses. The final game is today against the Columbus Blue Jackets where the Sens are hoping to get their first win!

While you are 100% right, I blame that on the Dorian special. Let’s collectively hope staios isn’t that dumb. Dorian just went after the shiney toys and not what was actually NEEDED here.

@@kylebolton3240 looking at the picks traded away and then taking a 2nd round pick 10th overall (Boucher)…its really depressing to see us with nothing. The Duchense pick too. Every risk Dorion took blew up on him.

The entire rebuild rests on the shoulders of the new coach and new goalie. We have the worst prospect depth in the league. The time has to be right now. GSG!

Hamara is interesting because you see some moments where he looks amazing like he has great vision when moving the puck up the ice but almost sometimes it looks like he gets tunnel vision on these plays and then leads to turnovers. Other times hes falling over and turning the puck over in high danger areas. Hes a boom or bust player maybe he spends time in the ECHL to start I hope he can start cutting out the big mistakes in his games and he could be a solid prospect going forward but rn not looking great for him

Have to remember, all of these players other than CY are 3-4 line or 3rd pairing Dmen, these are role player hopefulls……. We are going to be ok,,,, be patient!

It's just a rookie tournament. Who care the Devils beat Ottawa 6-0. You want your team to make mistakes, because that is what coaches will look at and fix. When Ottawa was killing the rookie tournament and pre-season, they did horrible in the regular season.

@@LockedOnSenators Either way, you want to play all your players to see how they have developed and where they are at. Doesn't matter you played 5th rounders against 1st and 2nd. I've seen it in these tournaments where it was really lopsided. But at the end, you can use this as leverage what your rookies need to improve and a better control on their dev. But there's not much for the players to work hard to show what they are about. Goalie positions are pretty much closed. D pairing looks almost complete and same with the forwards.

Totally! This has zero impact on the upcoming season - just wish the Sens had more promising prospects coming through the system

@@LockedOnSenators I've seen some good and some bad in the rookie tournament. Not a loss that shows that the Sens don't have promising prospects. It only shows that they still have a lot to learn and hopefully make them want to get better. Some of these players will go back to their junior teams, some will make the AHL. Give them time to develop to the players they can be. Players who are competitive will not take any of the 3 loses lightly and work harder.
