Huge respect for David Copperfield to honor O&G like this. Out of 100's of comedy acts I've seen over the years, I never laughed as hard as watching O&G. Left us too early but will always remember them and the happiness they brought me. RIP Otto.
Man... That's really hit me. I shared a bill with Otto back in the day and instantly knew he was a special kind of special. How wonderful to see him immortalized in the David Copperfield Museum.
The last time I saw Otto perform, i went out drinking with him and Trish for hours. He hugged me goodbye and got in the car. Trish was amazed. she said she couldn't remember the last time he hugged someone. RIP my friend.
Thank you for keeping this content available Keith Carnevale! What a gem to find this while trying to sleep on this Thursday night. Now I feel better. Skål!
This is great to see. this past week I found a George Dudley it was kinda Magic cause I was not looking for him just found one in Chicago and pulled that lever. Its undoubtedly the same maker and im working on the outfit from central park.. Jean jacket and he will be close to identical . Whats even more cool is finding two Fats heads from the movie Magic.. Those and the extra body arrive tomorrow and Ill be prepping both heads to be full working Fats figures. Ill get George scanned and make another as a tribute to the maker.. If you all could see the inside of Georges head and see the inner workings you would appreciate Otto even more they were not easy to operate takes some getting used too.. The second body is to preserve the original.. When I looked up inside the body the original makers tag was still in it. I cant believe I found one. I found a second one but its not the same looks different and wont pass as George So I passed on buying both. I miss Otto we. were to meet in Dallas Tx and film at Dealey Plaza. and he died 4 days after my Birthday. I think Otto led me to this figure I cant see how else id have found it. Which tells me God has a sense of humor and Otto is making them laugh in Heaven.. Im going to Dealey Plaza with this one and filming anyway. for Otto there will only be one Otto but George evidently had a brudder. his name is Richard but his friends call him Dick. Dick Dudley
He had a Howard Stern show appearance around 2002-ish... He was so bizarre with his lack of confidence. He kept saying to Howard 'I suck' and it was definitely no act. He was borderline suicidal. Howard had to give him a pep talk. It was weird. He was just a downer guy. But he was one of my favorites. He ruled! It's too bad he died.
