to be fair, the whole show was so painfully stretched and stalled, for like half of it, it's really boring to watch, when miz tries to build some tension (which isn't there, because stakes are basically none) or when especially asmon tries to dispute every little matter i know it's for comedy (though it didn't land most of the time), but mostly to stretch the show to last as long as possible (he even joked at one point about commercial thresholds) even at the end you can see how basically everyone there gets tired of it (like when cyr says while yawning about his pasta question "ok boom 50 points...")

That’s the beauty of the category. The way that they’ve been playing up until that point has been guessing words that they know start a certain letter and after the category is revealed they only have a minute to get everything. This creates a sort of pressure and it’s unlikely in the heat of the moment for them to realize that they can just say “urse” after every letter, especially if it’s a word that they don’t know or have never heard of. Also the ambiguity of the question itself leads to misinterpretations or incorrect assumptions of the contestants because it stated that it has to “rhyme with purse” However it is never specified that has to be a perfect rhyme nor did it say that it couldn’t be a near-rhyme. It ends up being a doomed if you do and doomed if you don’t type of scenario because if you don’t think at all about your approach to the question and continue how you have been doing things you will most likely not get “terse” but if you think about your approach to the question it can lead you to be confused or overthink it.
