This band is from Russia from harsh Siberia. Band members are representatives of indigenous peoples of north. But their songs are great, they literally put you in a tranc.
I've been urging reactors to check out Otyken for a while now. So glad you found them on your own. You may like their song "Genesis". I do suggest you check your geography. Siberia is the eastern part of Russia (Sara Palin can see it from her house). This group was founded in the middle-southern region near Mongolia and Kazakhstan (Where Dimash grew up) although I think the members are from further north. The technique being used by one of the members is even called "Mongolian throat singing". If you want to check out a Mongolian group, The Hu "Wolf Totem" is fairly popular with 91 million views.
THIS WAS VERY INTERESTING AND FUN.Have y'all ever heard it the band THE HU?? they're a Mongolian rock band. They have a collab with Jacoby from Papa Roach called WOLF TOTEM.
THE HU have a similar sound to this is why I suggested them. I sent y'all a link on Instagram. They also just recently did a collab with one of my favorite singers L.P. ( Laura Pergolizzi ) The song is called MOTHER NATURE. Then she has an original song she wrote and sings called LOST ON YOU (live sessions) that has 1.2 BILLION views on RU-vid.
I'll echo the hu band. The original wolf totem is awesome... But please please also react to "a woman's song". Even as a man... That song is emotional!
Native Americans, by the way, are close relatives of the indigenous Siberian peoples. so you were right to mention some similarity of motives. Otyken are phenomenal (and their song "Phenomen" is my favorite).
Native Americans come through the Bering Strait, from Siberia. This group is great, I wish they had let them appear in the 2022 World Cup, I hope they let them appear in the 2026 World Cup.
@@codece172-ak2 No, I looked into it and it says it was just a nomination. The US and the EU prevent access to the Western public, ignoring messages of freedom of expression and culture so that Russia does not stand out for something good... again, how sad
дамы! это СИБИРЬ-РОССИЯ!! представители коренных жителей Сибири) А в США (коренные жители Америки поют практические такие же звуки) расширяйте свой кругозор..21 век на дворе!!))Ladies! This is SIBERIA-RUSSIA!! representatives of the indigenous inhabitants of Siberia) And in the USA (native Americans sing practically the same sounds) expand your horizons..The 21st century is in the yard!!))
Awesome reaction video! If you haven't listened to Anoana by Heilung I think you might like it too. It's very ancient too, very powerful, gorgeous music video too.
This is probably my least favourite Otyken song. I think their best is "Phenomenon", and "Pulse" (especially the live concert version). I also discovered them on TikTok, and and glad I did.
This has to be the most ignorant review I've ever seen for Otyken. I guess the exposure is good for the group. But please please do a lease a tiiiiiiny bit of googling first, to know where they are from and their culture. It's very important to the music and to them as people.
WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST SEE AND HEAR I GOTTA PICK UP MY JAW FROM BEING IN SHOCK im sorry red but did i hear you say its was viking music that was not viking sounding or even close to it your about a 1000 miles away from it being close to vikingy
The Mongoloid peoples of Russian Siberia and the Native Americans were in the past one ethnic group. It was divided when the Bering Strait appeared (it was not always there). Vitus Bering is a Russian navigator, officer of the Russian fleet, captain-commander. You are right, the cultures overlap with Alaskan culture. The United States bought all of Alaska from the Russians in 1867. The Russians actively developed the northern lands in ancient times. There are still a lot of Russian names for islands and villages there. The same ethnic group later spread further south into North America, already in a warm climate.
Have you ever heard of the Norwegian singer Sissel (Kyrkjebø). If you've seen the movie Titanic she is the haunting vocal throughout the movie. She is considered the National treasure of Norway. Please react to her singing "Unchained Melody" or anything actually. You won't be disappointed. She is a crossover soprano who can sing any genre. Thanks
Well, that was different. 😳 The dude doing the Mongolian throat singing was killing it and reminded me of Home Free Man of Constant Sorrow and the overall beat was very catchy. I wonder if she was screaming because her coochie was cold. 😂 Puff puff pass. 🙌✌️
