Look, Jackson isn’t the guy and it’s been obvious for 4 weeks. The rumors have been there, the players know it too. It is Coaching Malfeasance on the part of Seth Littrell that he hasn’t progressed or developed. Hawkins is clearly better but can Littrell even progress him? Seth is low energy, unimaginative, horrible play caller, and now we have another young quarterback with no quarterback coach. What a joke. Bench Littrell as well! Fire him today!
I think that with a better o line Arnold could be productive, given our o line struggles though I think Hawkins’ ability to scramble adds another dimension to the offense that we need.
Agree on all fronts. He's not the ONLY issue but Arnold was the biggest issue on Saturday. Cannot excuse any of those turnovers. I think Hawkins is their best option moving forward, especially, like you said, with the situation on the OL
Very impressed with Tennessee's defense. Vols look like a 10-11 win team to me. Would be really surprised if they don't make the CFP Playoff. Good luck moving forward.
It’s pretty shocking how bad the O has been. There’s not a single thing the offense does at even an average level. Injuries play a part but can’t totally explain how bad the offense is. That lies with Seth imo. I get the same feeling watching this offense as I got watching Riley’s defenses.
OU shouldn't have won shit ,so stop that kind of shit talk VOLS controlled that game from the start ,OU only scored late after the VOLS let up and went prevent d,VOLS choose to play conservative to just get the win and get out with getting injuries from that crap field OU plays on,so get real OU got beat by a better team period
Switzer btw for all those non historians in 1970 Salvaged the season by ditchiong the veer for the wishbone, I dont thingk we could but we could go to an I and ustilize options and passes, look back at Nebraska 94 through 97.
We had both starting offensive tackles not playing. Second and third stringers were in there the entire game. That's why, once we got a decent lead, Huepel relied on the defense. OU has a great defense though....
It was just super embarrassing. The final score isn't indicative of how much Tennessee dominated that game. If you doesn't beat Auburn, we're talking about a real disaster of a season.
I thought Lebby was holding us back, but we've torpedoed down further with Littrell's play-calling and Arnold's terrible play. And we've never had an O-line this bad (since the Stoops era). It really hurts when we give the opponent the game. TN didn’t really force the turnovers. Arnold just handed them to them. I feel really bad for the defense. They did their part. I would be like, what's the point of putting in all this effort if the offense is going to give it right back? The D is going to have to score the points, and I really hope Hawkins can be successful going forward.
After the first three games against mediocre opponents, everybody knew the Oklahoma offensive line room was hurting. Too few players, too many injuries, and a struggling first-year QB equal disaster in college ball, and especially in the SEC. OU has slim chance of victory against the number 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, and 16 teams. Looks like another sub-500 year. Drat!
