The Sooners outlasted Oregon 3-2 to win the Norman Regional Championship on Sunday afternoon at Love's Field. The Sooners will now advance to the Super Regionals, where they'll take on the winner of the Florida State Regional.
Nicole May is looking very sharp at the ideal time. Kelly Maxwell, poise personified, has been masterful. (BTW, May has been in plenty of press conferences, including one very recently.) Superb OU pitching of late, soon to be bolstered by Deal & Keeney, both of whom have flashed greatness, and are primed to shine. I also sense that this team, beginning with the Super Regionals, is on the brink of a sustained, multi-game offensive explosion, the likes of which we haven't seen since the last time they did it. So many gifted hitters. It's coming.
