Since he and Milah were together for about a decade (judging by Baelfire) before she died, shortly after which he went to Neverland and stopped aging for 200+ years. So I guess the clothes, lighting and floppy hair are meant to make him look younger, which they do. Kinda.
@@soixsantes I know that and I ship him and Emma but if was different, yes he was happy but he still had revenge at the back of his mind, he still had all his flaws\mistakes and temptations but before Milah died like in this scene he doesn't have any of the baggage that he had when he met Emma

very fan of Rumple, but at this moment I understand Milah, it is not right to mistreat rumple because he is lame, but she has been attracted by a pirate, which is interesting, a man of the world, strong, brave, young, at this point he was still any pirate (in my opinion) before "rumple's new magic" together with his jealousy turn him into Captain Hook and his new "bad fame")
Thank you! I can never get over the fact that Hook was an absolute bully to Rumple and Milah abandoned her own child for adventure with a pirate. They were utterly awful.

Am I the only one that liked Hook with Milah instead of Emma I know she died so it wasn’t gonna work out in the end but their chemistry is on point and Hook still keeps that charm while when he eventually gets with Emma it’s like the writers turn him into a broad like he becomes boring while with Milah he still has that fun energy I guess it’s the writers fault in this situation but still like Hook and Milah
Couple this moment with the scene from season 2, where Rumple and Bae find Milah in the bar with Hook. Rumple: Milah... it's time to go. Milah: Good, so go. Hook: Who's this? Milah: He's no one, just my husband. Hook: Ohhh he's a bit taller than you described. *laughs and jeers* Rumple: Milah please, you have... responsibilities... Milah: You mean like being a man and fighting in the war? Other wives became honored widows, I became lashed to the village coward! And then later on Hook's ship. Rumple: I remember you from the bar. You... you have my wife. Hook: I've had many a man's wife. You kind of realize that Hook targeted Milah and wore her down until she left Rumple. That's downright predatory. Wonder how many other men's wives he did that to?
