Isn't it just so amazing?! Ryland and Colorado really changed Shane for the better. I remember the days when Shane would literally rather be dead than be seen in public and now he's so excited to go outside and do anything!

I refuse to wash them. I told everyone in the house that uses them that they have to wash their own. I'll let them sit on the counter until they do. Eventually they run out of things to drink in and do it. 😂

I love how far Shane has come. I love seeing him excited for things and getting out there and doing stuff and how happy he is. You truly brought him to life which when you are dealing with mental health issues it feels impossible and it’s a battle to deal with and get out of. I’m living for this era of him

Casa Bonita is so iconic .. I went in the 1970s and went for dinner before prom there ! So fun . Loved the pet at the end “ I’ll be here for Christmas wearing one of your babies” It’s happening soon !!

Yessss! I’m currently flared up super sick with my muscle disease in bed, and my hubby just brought me a delicious hot place of food, water cup, and my extra cozy down comforter. I’m just catching up on the episodes I’ve missed- SHANE!!! You’re so right!! This is a core memory. I went to Colorado on a ski trip with my church youth group in APRIL 1994- 9 days of skiing in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado - I remember maybe 3 days but the very best and most memorable day of that entire trip was the first night in Colorado, we had dinner at Casa Bonita!!! I knew in the thumbnail EXACTLY where you are and what the blog was about! So happy you got to experience this!

I went there when I was a tween back in the olden days!! It had just opened in the mid 70’s and my grandma went with us. BTW: I’m 60 so ….Thanks for sharing because it brought back so many memories!!❤
