The bush Charlie was taking pictures of is Sarcococca - a much underrated evergreen shrub. As you have found out the little flowers pack a big punch of lovely scent, and because it’s evergreen it then gives a great backdrop to other more colourful flowers in the summer. I have a couple of them by our front door

'Fragrant sweet box is Sarcococca confusa - plenty of fragrant flowering shrubs and flowers for Mr Bumble Bee at this time of year. Winter flowers are all about the scent to attract pollinators - Colour (and scent) is for Summer!
Three loves from this vlog: 1) Your attitude towards London Fashion Week! I feel that you have really come into your own, Josie, and I applaud that you are "done with that," haha! 2) The little exchange re: shrinking a thousand pounds worth of Charlie's cashmere knits was just AWESOME, and 3) the glimpses of Bath. We were there in September and gosh, we just absolutely fell in love with Bath and the surrounding area (climbing Solsbury Hill was a highlight). I do wish we'd known about Oak at the time, but we ate wonderfully well just the same. I'll be using Charlie's restaurant search methods when we're in New York next week on holidays, btw - great tip!

Hello i have the fragrant box and can vouch for it being a must in your garden at this time of year as well as Viburnum bodnatense an early flowerer. The primroses are cute around the cabin and the importance of bulbs at this time of year is immense. I never have enough snowdrops!! What a lovely way to spend Valentines. You are both glowing by the way not sure if it is the Maldives sun or just success and contentment in each other. The upcoming wedding sounds perfect and although a lot of work will be so personal and that is the key.

Babington is my local, 1.5 miles from where I live so of course I’m a member, as are my 3 kids. It’s ok and, having lived in London for 15 years, it’s the place to go. However, Somerset is soooo full of great food, drink and arts venues. Message me for recos. Happy to help x

I know this isn't common thinking but my husband and I don't celebrate valentine's day. We don't get each other gifts. OUr main goal is to spend quality time together. As far as I'm concerned. I'm blessed to have my husband and I don't need any material items from him.
We don't either - this year, I had an evening shift and night on call, so I only saw my husband as he left for work in the morning. In Denmark, the teenagers are getting into Valentine's, but the rest of us think it's generally overrated and too commercial. I much prefer spontaneous romantic gestures, rather than ones that are timed by Hallmark - and to be fair to Charlie, he is great at organising romantic trips for him and Josie throughout the year.❤️
