On the homework topic.. I see and believe these parents are providing a loving, nurturing, safe environment. Which radiates positivity. Mom and dad take care of basic needs, allowing the children to be able to focus on school. I can say in my own life my mom slept all the time, dad was busy at work, house a mess and basic needs not med (aka meals provided consistently, clean laundry) I couldn't focus on my studies because I had so much on my plate, didn't feel safe and school work was the last on my list. This family is a great example of what most children want

Just recently found your channel!! You are definitely amazing, spectacular!! I wasn't in foster care, that long- only because lost mother in MVA at age 14, w/ o dad (single parent family b4 accident). 6 years total in 2 different homes- both awesome!! One of my BFFs after having 2 biological children; decided to foster n adopt 2 children, both as infants; all the while she was going through cancer!! - in late 40's no less!! She left this earth too early late last year!! 😭😭😢😪😥 #Cancer sucks!! But she was also amazing, spectacular!!! As one who wished , as you talk about others commented, would have grown up in a home as yours, at least 1st 14 years with bio parent given -- you are spectacular!! God bless!! ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏

Myself and my twin brothers were born 13 months apart . My mom had 5 under 5 , but you are so right it's a twin thing . They fought but you had better never hurt one of them or the other would come to his side fast. I Love this interview. I have learned so much about you and your family . My children are gone , but for one daughter who lives here with " hers " our 3 kiddos 14 ,10, 6 but they have always lived here. You have taught me so much about patience and not sweating the little things . I just Love you . It weird how you can feel another moms Love for another and just you being you ,not meeting but just Love ya 😊 you so much 💓.

my grandparents were unable to have children so they adopted 2 amazing kids. 10 years later they got pregnant and had my mom! crazy how the universe works miracles like that. I have the best aunt and uncle in the world cuz they adopted. I don't even think of them being adopted at all cuz they r family! rip to my aunt who passed in 2017.

I don’t follow or comment a lot. But the way you asked the kids for input and made sure they were heard and got to be apart of the conversation made me want to cry. I was the youngest of 3 and my mom always let me speak no matter my age. And therefore now I never feel like I can’t voice my opinions in any walk of life. I truly have always wanted to adopt and I watch you everyday and feel like I definitely can do it. So happy for you and your family. You ALL are amazing. ❤

So a recipe for over the world Monday Ecuadorian.shrimp ceviche, so the ceviche: you will need one purple onion cubed,.cilantro, tomato.cubed,lemon juice 2 cup,orange juice 2 cups, 1/4 cup of ketchup, salt,.pepper, shrimp Blanche the shrimp with water and salt for 1.min on boiling water, take it off the heat and save 2 cups of the water, pickle the purple onion, tomato and cilantro on 1 cup of lemon juice, then mix the shrimp, shrimp water, pickled tomato,onion and cilantro, the orange juice, lemon juice and ketchup, add salt and pepper to taste . It should be tart buth a sweet undertone, chill and served cold. I'm Ecuadorian so I know my ceviche of you want other recipes.let me.know

What a terrible interviewer. I know that's her job, like paparazzi or a journalist, but CALM DOWN! Alicia spent 5 minutes explaining her story and the first thing the lady says is "the whole house needs to turn off their wifi" and then basically asks the same question two more times. Hard to watch.

mom advice.....just roll with it. I once had three stepkids and my pregnant self to feed dinner and all we had was tuna, hot dog buns and Kraft mac and cheese. Best dinner ever? Nope. Did they eat? YEP! Don't freak out when the lttle things happen, because they will happen. My sister ( mother of 5) once told me, " oh honey they don't live because of us, they live in SPITE of us!" lol. Keep it real with yourself.

Some are biological, some adopted, some fostered, all from different backgrounds and all unique in their stories and characters to how they got where they are now. So this family in particular is unique and wholesome for those reasons which separate them from most.

I love her! Shes extremely gifted with kids, and you can tell she loves being Mom to all 12 children! Shes amazing to watch! So very patient, loving and kind. A great soul! I raised foster kids as well. They were in my house so they were mine. All teenagers because they were harder to place. I had 5 of my own and 10 foster kids, they still keep in touch with me.

I’ve always wanted to be a foster/adoptive mom and I’m lucky enough to have found a man that wants the same life as me! We have an almost 3yr old son together and we want some more! You make me want a big family you’re definitely someone I look up to and watching you do what you do everyday gives me the motivation and helps me know that I can do it. You’re a queen!👸🏽💞

I am so happy you got an interview with the Today show!! I always think about calling Ellen or the Drew Barrymore show and telling them all about you. You are truly amazing and you have the patience of a saint. Your love and adoption stories should be shared!
