Being a gearhead from my high school days street racing Hondas, which makes me like the Honda Acme mini truck, then me and my father-in-law started hunting and rock crawling in our jeeps out here in California and now restoring vintage Volkswagen buses and bugs. I build my own stuff and I’m big-time family oriented. Me and my wife have two boys two girls our twin boy and girl pick up the end. I greatly enjoy your guys channel. Keep up the good work. A taurus fan for real!!?!? That’s some old school Pirate4x4 tech!! Get a nice brushless fan that can be controlled by your fancy engine monitoring system. It will be way quieter and adjust as needed. Lol. But I get it! 10 bucks is 10 bucks and it works!! That’s probably what I would have done also. Or the Volvo fan. That’s another good one. 👍🏻👍🏻

Idaho sure is beautiful. I used to help my buddy get firewood up in Arbon Valley. We would harvest Aspen, six to eight inch diameter logs, then take 'em back to his house to chunk-out. Mr. Hall would get the permit and tell us boys we could only take the dead trees. When people are allowed to harvest it helps clear the forests of the detritus.
Good idea on the Taurus fan. Very few aftermarket fans move the air an oem fan moves. If the Taurus fan isn’t enough long term look into the Camaro SS fan AC Delco 1581914 my buddy had a Taurus fan that couldn’t keep up and the Camaro fan moved even more air and solved his issues
That trailer axle is screaming! It’s crazy that a pre 95 ford Taurus fan is what did the trick. That’s so odd but hey if it works it works! Little sister is stunning. God dam.

Rarely do I go back and watch segments over and over. I did that on the "falling tree" part. Alex and his sister almost got hit with a flying branch. Love the channel and keep it up!!!! I look forward to all the vids.

most buggy rock crawler guys will put a reverse switch on the fan, so when your on the trail or going slow you can push the engine heat out of the engine bay.
That truck is awesome. The fan can probably be rebuilt. I just rebuilt 2 toyota fan motors. New motors was $450 they only needed new brushes. I did not find original ones but they can easily be sanded down to fit. I only spent $19 on the brushes. The bearings can also be changed, mine just didn't need to.

You should have grabbed the relay for the fan out of the Taurus. you will blow relays eventually, when 1goes the other blows instantly. You might make it a couple trips, just take spares until you change it out for the one made for the fan.
Lots of ways to split a pea!! I run my taurus fan through 150 amp circuit breaker on a heavy Cole hearse push/pull switch NEVER had a problem and NEVER tripped the circuit breaker!
take a page from classic rally racing and mount a window washing motor to the top of the radiator, spraying water for evaporative cooling when you need that boosted cooling on a job.

The Taurus fan are awesome, you can use the BMW dual switch so you can use high and low speeds on the fan, that helps with noise. With that haltech, the new camera fans are also pretty bad ass.
I'd be disappointed if a 1 ton Ford couldn't handle the pine. But the trailer needs to be upgraded. You should be happy that you didn't overheat. Order a new factory fan and keep that one on the shelf for a spare. If I were you, I would call Robbie and get a few spare fans. Nice to see the whole family cutting wood together.

The Taurus fans used to be everywhere, but now they're like unicorns 😂 i have been hoarding one in my garage for years. They're super rad because they're 2 speed fans.
I noticed how much the mini truck tends sway a bit. Have you thought about putting a sway bar on the rear suspension. I know others have mentioned air bags or even a stronger set of springs.
