This is just the first of the in-depth curriculum looks that I have planned for the year. Let me know what you want to see next! Not sad about being back on track with the public school folks. 😅
We're not at this level yet but we have been using Math U See since the beginning as well and I will never understand the hate it gets sometimes. This curriculum is AMAZING. My son started gamma in second grade and he's going to be 3rd grade this year. We are just about 10 lessons away from being done with the book but he's just about mastered all his multiplication problems and I am beyond proud of him. I'm in DFW Texas and there is a bookstore over here that has homeschool curriulum that you can flip through and check out. I saw they had all the major math books except for math u see. I flipped through saxon, math mammoth, horizons and a couple other major names out there and honestly, they just looked all over the place. Soo much color in the books just made it feel overwhelming. I like how math you see simplifies everything and we get video instruction, but I think that's why people think it's "boring". I don't care though, because it's my RIDE OR DIE like you said! lol
We too are doing MUS Pre Algebra for 6th grade. Your facial expressions and happiness is all me as well, we can even be bff🤝📚👌✅️hope you and your daughter have a smooth and successful school year.
The explanation of the chapter portion does show the problem being worked, but the answer page is just the answers. I'm fairly certain that you can see sample pages on their website.
Ah, I wondered how you were able to start a new lesson every week. We use MUS too but my poor little daughter could never skip all that. 😅 We have to do every single page, and sometimes add worksheets from the generator on their website. MUS is the only thing that hasn’t been too overwhelming for her and kept her moving forward, but she still struggles. She is starting Delta and I actually just bought Math Mammoth’s 2nd grade workbook to use as a review and supplement. She is extremely forgetful, so focusing on multiplication last year has left her lacking in subtraction, and some other areas too. I keep hoping she will catch up to where she needs to be (she should be in Epsilon) but we can’t seem to move any faster.
Fortunately, in homeschool, where they "should" be is right where they are. ❤️ May not be useful to you, but every summer, I buy my girls some Disney character math workbooks for fun practice. We keep them in the car. We also use games, like sum swamp. And math wrapups to reinforce. amzn.to/3Z0SmbR
I think you're asking about the first page inside the cover with all of the little boxes. If so, that's like a grading sheet. So if your student did page A and scored an 80, you'd write it in there and so on for each lettered page and the lesson test.
Great video! I’m switching from Bob Jones Math and this curriculum peaks my interest for sure! Where can I purchase and what exactly is the name of this complete set? Thank you
