I'm a teen author! I self published at 14 and I'm on my second novel at 15. I loved this podcast! Everything said was really great and the points you both made were great

I am 13 and I’ve been writing my fantasy novel since January 2020. I have written about 200-250 pages overall so far! Thank you guys so much for this video!! It was a true motivation.

I live for this podcast. I am an absolute perfectionist and a young writer (about to turn 12 next year!) and I am STRANDED on my first page. And, it is still blank for after who knows how long. This podcast really helped me to let go of my perfectionism side when writing, and I’m now having a really enjoyable time when doing so! As a teen writer, I’ve seen SO MANY videos and posts just like “practice, nothing you do is actually going to be good right now”, so much so that I stopped looking for writing advice altogether - it got too negative and wasn’t helping me write. I’m a teenage writer trying to work out the brainstorming of her hopefully soon to be novel. This video inspired me so much! I always hear advice about just practicing until your older but for about two or three years now I’ve wanted to write something more than just practice. Just saw this video and I gotta say this is helping me a lot since I'm a teenage whose been recently working on some stuff but mostly of the time I get filled up with insecurities. Now that I found Abbie's channel and yours as well I'm gonna work harder to get my dreams come true. I’m a teen writer, or at least an aspiring writer, and I have this story I’m really passionate about but whenever I try to sit down and write I can only write a few sentences before I get burnt out. I love the characters and the storyline but I feel like I physically can’t write when I try to work on the story and idk what to do

This hit me hard, this advice is steel hard and I've been writing for a few years, never thought I would take it seriously because of my age but this - this advice has changed my view! By the way, both of your lessons has stuck and deepened the verse of writing, thanks for sharing!

I finished my first book when I was I think about 8 years old. It was about a girl moving and staring a new school and going on adventure in a world her secret friend took her to. And it was unicorns and ranbows and everything was happy. Now I'm 13 and my writing has improved but not my sight of stories. Still loves unicorns and rainbows and happy things xD Also I have a thing I would like you to talk about in a podcast. I've just started like actually writing my first draft on my new novel (In swedish becouse I'm from there). But I really wonder how you can write and show more than telling. I have been practising this for about two months now since I started following Abbie and now your podcast. I feel like this is a super important skill but I don't know how to do it. And especially how do you show your protagonist Internal Conflict without making it TO obvious like showing it and everything. Also I feel like my characters is teenagers (which they are but...) they have like the worst mood swings I have ever seen. Please help!

I started writing my first "novel" when I was eleven. I didn't look at much writing advice till I was about fourteen, and by that point my enneagram 3 self was too conceited to pay attention to anything they had to say😳🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

Yikes, wattpad has 90 million user!? I'm currently using royal road but maybe when I have a fan base there I'll ask them to up vote me on wattpad... honestly I'm lousy at self promotion but it seems like with royal road you at least get readers which is apparently quite difficult on wattpad (the bigger the venue the easier to get lost).

Delayed gratification is such a badly named concept. The solution is not “work first, and then you’ll be rewarded eventually (hopefully)”. The solution is to enjoy the work itself. That’s actually instant gratification. 😁 Just not of the cheap kind…
