Join us on our first week travelling around Australia in our 79 Series Landcruiser and Kedron Caravan.
We travel from our home on the Gold Coast and head out west to hopefully escape an east coast low. We find ourselves prematurely upgrading to lithium, getting day drunk at a winery in Kingaroy and finally making it back to awesome weather on the coast at Hervey Bay.

Little tip When you stay or show something maybe spent 30 seconds showing on a map where it is Most don’t do it so would be a point of difference make it easier for people if they want to check it out

Nice job! We were coming back from Broome around this time and weather was mad! It took me years of fighting with a power hungry fridge to finally get into Lithium, certainly can't look back now. 100% the way to go!

Gday Mick. We have a 70 litre tank under the van. We also use a 20l jerry to offload grey water while parked up if we fill up the 70l tank over a few days. Most places have you direct your grey water on the gardens/lawn. It’s mainly only National Parks and self contained camps like this (organic farm) that are strict on grey water. 👍🏼 Safe travels, Brad

There will be all sorts of pitter pattering on the roof as time goes on and you get used to bush camping (best part of caravanning) I reckon you might reconsider the washing machine later on? Water usage etc Nice setup you have there, plenty of "carrying space", ie, in my case i headed off with a swag of just in case bits n pieces 😂😂(in storage now) On to Ep. 2.

Nothing better than rain on a tin roof! Or in our case rain on aluminium cladding 😂 I have to say, living full time in the van for 5 weeks now the washing machine is one of our most used appliances. It uses roughly 20l per load and bugger all power. We have 330 litres of water onboard so the water consumption hasn’t been an issue. One thing I found was the bolts rattled loose and once I tightened them it barely shakes the van anymore. Thanks for the comment Colin, it sure is a sweet setup and with 1000kg payload in the van we just stocked up for a 3 week trip up to cape York and it was a breeze. We still have empty cupboards! Hopefully a trip is around the corner for you and you can drag the van out of storage soon. All the best Brad
