Those chickens are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I love brown colored chickens! My best egg layer was my Australorp, she was one of my first ever chickens and she would protect me from the aggressive ducks. I miss her like crazy.

Great learning on your Golden Comets. I’ll be honest the first time I saw them I thought the were RIR’s. I had a RIR her name was Lucy. She was probably #2 in the pecking order. I always enjoy watching your videos and it is great seeing Hazel with her attitude 😊. I’m glad you would get this 0:01 breed again. I think your right that having Ruby and Hazel is like having a well balanced out flock. They keep you on your toes especially Hazel. Don’t turn your back on her😂😂😂❤❤❤😊

Last time i had chickens i had 1 Golden comet (& 1 Amberlink and 1 Black sex link). They all laid every single day and they were all friendly. Last year when i got chickens again, i decided not to get the hybrid breeds like these bc they are known to have reproductive system issues and to have a short life span. And bc of chicken math, i already get a ton of eggs.

They just aren’t the lovey dovey type…..they choose to say “I love you” by giving you a lot of eggs…..😊🐓🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚

I thought Hazel was a Rhode Island Red when I first started watching your videos! She looks a lot like my 2 Rhodie gals!

Just seen your video I got six golden commas dang as brown as yours are dark. They all stick together and real friendly.

I have a Rhode Island Red and a New Hampshire red and these two are top pecking order(New Hampshire tippy top) and do not like to be held. These two breeds are known for being “tough”. It makes sense to me that the golden comet would be similar considering the genetics from one of these two breeds. I have a young golden comet(about 10 weeks) it’ll be interesting to see how she mixes in with my older girls.

I honestly thought Hazel and Ruby were Rhode Island Reds. I have 2 in my flock and I also have golden comets. My golden comets look identical to my ISA browns, more strawberry blonde than auburn redheads. Personality seems to match RIR too. A little spicy!😆 I love meeting all your ladies

I had golden comets and they didn't look anything like yours , my were orange and very mechanical, they were very good birds , I enjoyed them..

Some hens have big combs and spurs, still doesnt make em a rooster. I thought Hazel was a RIR! Well, I definitely learned. The different names for the same breed is interesting too.

Those 2 gals look like rir...😮 I thought true golden comets are breed from a rir roster and a white leghorn hen. Which produce a light red and white hen...🤔
