Biweekly is one word. And that is wrong. Biweekly means every fortnight. Semiweekly means twice. I could be wrong as it’s been a hot minute since I did A level English or Narratology at University. But I would be wary accepting grammatical cues from someone that can’t grasp hyphens and language. Bicycle. Binoculars. Bicentennial. Binary. Notice no hyphen? Also bicycle means 2 wheel. Binoculars mean 2 optical enhancing lenses. Binary means 2 numbers. Bicentennial means every 200 years. Why would it suddenly change? Hahaha.

@@razerow3391 well, you've shown yourself up a little bit here. Bi is a prefix that means two or twice. Uni is the same for one or once. A unicycle has one wheel, a bicycle has two wheels and a tricycle has three wheels. Bipedal means two-legged, quadruped is 4 legged. That's how prefixes work. I used the hyphen to separate the prefix from the main word and highlight the make up of that word. A very quick Google search would have also told you that you are the most confidently incorrect individual on the internet right now. Biweekly has both meanings according to every single dictionary. Semiweekly is specifically only used in American English because biweekly means both to Americans and they didn't have fortnightly in their vocabulary to use. Check yourself before you start throwing insults at people online and claiming they're wrong. It wouldn't have taken you long to Google any of your "facts" and find out that you weren't actually correct in anything you wanted to say. Maybe if you had, you'd have dialled your pedantry back a few notches and not made yourself look like a bit of a pillock. Also, next time you try to correct someone, make sure they don't get paid to know about the very thing you're trying to correct them on. Imagine deciding to challenge a writer on the English language - and specifically, an English writer who writes articles for an American company and worldwide audience.
