Joy , my first name is Evelyn , and as you can see my middle name is Fern and I have a new grandson who is a week old. His name is Gunner. You all definitely hold a special place in my heart.
We home-schholed our 2 sons, and being that my hubs is a self employed trademan, we would just up and go when his schedule got light. We took our kids to a lot of US historical places. KUDOS for living with the great priorities that you have! The RV break downs are part of the adventure! It looks like an RV that has been refurbished-if so greatjob!
We just got back from Yellowstone last weekend with our 2 yr old and 3 month old. It was amazing! So many beautiful sites and stroller/kid friendly hikes. My husband and I wore baby carriers too, and that worked well! Hope you guys have a fabulous time & make great memories! Praying for safe travels and no more RV problems! 💕
Hope the rest of your trip goes well! Gideon lost another tooth. Gunner is a big boy for his age❤ he's doing great! Evelyn is such a sweet sister. Y'all are blessed.
It’s not the destination but the journey. I think that is what Austin was thinking. What a beautiful trip that should be. I hope and pray it goes well for y’all. 😊❤
You will absolutely love Yellowstone! My first time was the summer I turned 16. My second time was a family trip, many years later, to celebrate our daughter's high school graduation. First time there were bears galore and herds of elk and caribou. Second trip they had moved most bears to remote locations because bears were becoming more aggressive and had done the unimaginable to people at campgrounds and other safety issues. Austin reminds me so much of my late husband. I lost him to cancer 21 years ago. I'm hoping, these many, many years later, I might get one more trip while I'm still able. Hope your family makes many happy memories and everything turns out great. Love your sweet family. You and Austin are great parents and I love to see how you express love to your kids. Wishing all good things come your way. Nana from North Carolina
I’ve read comments and people are right…it’s an adventure and you’ll have those memories to share with the kids, as they get older! Can’t wait to see more videos from your trip!! Blessings and safe travels!! 🙏🏼🌄🏜️
Hope you guys don’t have any more problems with your RV. So glad that the doctor said gunner well be OK and that the hernia will probably heal on its own. Have a great time on your vacation! Hugs from the southeast coast of Florida.😎🦩🌞🦩😎
My son had one of those and it did heal without surgery. We did buy a waist bandage that helped with the process. Love how positive your family is with things that come up in life!
"BIG" ....🤣🤣 Austin is just so funny and doesn't try to be!! Can't wait to hear the rest of y'all's memory making 1st official family vacation!!! BIG😅😅
Hopefully the rest of ur travels will b smooth sailing. Got my fingers crossed. Joy, that blouse u wore 2 the doctor's office looked so good on u. Think it might have been the shade of green. Can hardly wait for ur next post. Have a wonderful time at Yellowstone! Ur n great company!!! ❤ u guys. God bless all of u.
I’m in the UK and I’ve always wanted to see Yellowstone, so I can’t wait to see what you all get up to there. Love watching you guys and I watch Jed and Katie’s channel too.
Seeing all the setbacks/delays makes me not want to take an RV trip anytime soon, yet seeing how beautiful the RV looks and how much more affordable it is makes me want one so, we'll see what happens 🤷♀ Hope it's smooth driving after this and you reach your destination in enough time to enjoy all Yellowstone has to offer. ☺
Looks like you guys are going to have a fun trip! Glad to see you guys get away as a family of 5 and enjoy yourselves. The Duggar family is like mine; anytime we went on a trip things always went wrong. Eventually, it all works out. 😊
We went on our first long road camping trip to Hershey and Lancaster PA. We stopped at a gas station and the motor for are stars went and they wouldn’t go back in so my dad had to cut the wire so he could put the back in. I love rVing.
Joy, have you heard of belly bands? It’s an ole Southern thing. You take material like a sheet, my grandmother made white. They were about 3” thick and long enough enough to wrap around the baby. Use Velcro to attach together. It will help hold it in. 🤷🏻♀️ Maybe it can help. Great attitude Austin, being aggravated doesn’t do anything but make you miserable😂. 🙏🏼♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🙏🏼
Can't wait to see the new vlog and hope you guys have a great Friday evening and night with the kids and a wonderful Fourth of July Weekend and hope Gunner feels better soon and praying for him and hope everything goes smoothly according to the doctors and nurses.🙏💖
Really enjoyed your video! So glad nothing was serious with Gunner. Enjoy Yellowstone Joy Anna and Austin! I've been there back in June of 1996. Looking forward to your next video. Love y'all and God Bless!❤️
Joy, hi 👋! In our LORD CHRIST JESUS Mighty Name, I ask our Heavenly Father to bless your family during this blessed family trip; I pray and decree Psalm 91 over your entire family, as well as your cars/RVs, food, and finances. I call you all blessed in JESUS’ Name and I enforce the blood of JESUS over each one of my siblings in CHRIST 🙏🏼✝️🩸, amen, amen! Alleluia. All praise and Glory be to GOD
Just remember, when you have road blocks in your way, God is protecting you from what might be ahead. There have been many times where I left somewhere later than I expected, to be stuck in traffic. When this happens it has been because there was an accident ahead. If I had left on time, I would have been nearer to the accident and maybe even in the accident. You asked God for traveling mercies, and he is providing those traveling mercies. You do not have to know why it's happening but it's happening for a reason. The reason could very well be protection of you and your family. ❤❤
You are crazy brave doing that with 3 little ones, including a newborn! You guys are so adventurous! To be in my 20's again...sigh. I had so much more energy as a parent then.
Jed and Katey's life blows my mind. They have been married ten minutes and have gone on several huge vacations including Israel, Italy, Hawaii... and now ten MORE days off. Wild. Most people get two weeks vacation a year. Must be nice to have all that time off.
My guess is they intentionally built this life. I'm assuming they own a business or multiple businesses that allow them this freedom. It can be done with careful and thoughtful planning!
In the ‘olden days’ they would take a dime or nickel depending on the size of the belly button. Take the coin and put it in the hole and tape it down with medical tape. This is what we did with both of our boys and two of our grandsons. Keep it taped until healed ant 3-4 months.
???... $400 to hear the mechanic tell you other than a couple loose wires nothing wrong 🤔🤔🤔 Sounds like someone made some big bucks for not working (IMO)
Joy you and Austin are doing such a wonderful job raising your children. All those negative comments are so disturbing! My son weighed 11 lbs 3 ozs and was 23 1/2 inches long when he was born. I had a normal delivery, 37 hours of labor. God gives us bundles of all sizes ❤❤❤
That’s what I kept saying! With 3 kids in the RV, it needs to be in tip top condition. Time for something more reliable. The kids are so cute. Joy is a devoted Mom.❤️
Even though it's terribly frustrating as parents to have a breakdown, I remember it being a fun adventure as a kid. One time we walked along the highway & found money. Another time a family picked us up & brought us to their house to give us jugs of water for our overheated car. They noticed my brother & I looked hot, so they let us swim in their pool.
We've always known and done this with our babies. Push a silver dollar over the bump and hold it down with strong tape. Babies grow so fast in a week or 2 it will be healed
It can’t be a family vacation without memorable moments. 😉 Praise God for Austin & Jed’s knowledge so they can take care of a lot of the issues. Also, great news on Gunners hernia! Yay! Enjoy your family! God bless!!
I love how well y’all handle adversity and life with your children. Problems are a part of life and I’m so glad you handle what life throws at you with so much grace.
Agreed ❤Do you all feel like having a strong faith & support from church, family, friends plays a big role in how ppl cope with and handle adversity? This has been my observation & I'm just curious if others see this also?
I love how you and Austin handle stressful events. So many people would have been so mad about the problem, it would have ruined their mood and the trip for everyone. Im so happy yall just go with it, deal with the problem, keep a positive attitude, and move on. Plus, it looks like the kids had a great time playong while the rv was in the shop. Hope the rest of the trip only has fun events and adventures!
@celestelawler587 They did, it was in working order, but older vehicles have issues that pop up randomly. A lot of people would have gone on a trip with just enough money for the trip, not enough to handle an emergency. We can say a lot about things others would do or what they should do, or what they could have done. But none of us are perfect, and they handled the problem in a very responsible and loving way, moved on with the trip, and they went on to enjoy it all. So I am happy for them.
