Factory VW California diesel heater exhausts under the van and the engine exhaust stops under the van so I believe it is fine where it is.

Vans exhaust is mainly used when van is moving so fumes are blown away, but diesel heater is used at night when van is stationary, your choice.

True. I think the fact that the California diesel heater exhausts under the van should mean it’s fine but we will have a carbon monoxide alarm just in case

Very often I would say I don’t know what I’m doing 😂 I do hours and hours of research for each step. RU-vid is invaluable for this kind of thing. There’s hundreds of videos for the smallest of things and I take what I feel is the best advice and most logical approach from the videos I watch. Regarding the price, that’s a very good question. It is probably no cheaper than going in and buying a Westfalia, however we couldn’t find the exact layout we wanted and we didn’t really want a motorhome. We don’t have £80-90k to drop on a new large camper van but we can afford to buy the van and tackle jobs as and when we have some cash. There’s no denying that we have benefitted from discounts in return for videos too so that certainly helps. One big expense is the range of tools that I have bought to make my life easier. Thank you so much for watching, it really helps keep the motivation going.

It’s an EasyPlus so it’s 1600VA. I’ll see how we get on with the single DC to DC for now but I can easily add another if we need it. We will have a constant charge from solar alongside and we aren’t big off grid power users really. Thank you very much for watching

It’s the air intake for the combustion chamber. It has to be under the van. The air that warmed up is brought in from inside the van. They are separate parts
