Our birds are loving our Johnson grass! 

Yes we need to bring back our native warm season grasslands and it’s historic management practices like periodic burning, heavy grazing pressure with long rests, and encouragement of thickets, but really the biggest thing most of us can do is put down our mowers, or at least use them more thoughtfully.
