Its because she was in the maternity ward and not an actual birthing room. There are women recovering from birth in the ward sharing rooms so it’s tricky to have partners there the whole 24 hours. It does suck though. I was induced and my husband had to leave me over night and then just a few hours after my son was born. I live in Australia.

The midwives that are in the room are absolutely amazing and are so comforting especially if you're scared of needles! I'm like Leah I didn't want to see anything but my partner did. But my father gave vivid details and even has a baby photo of me printed on a shirt and they both wear it every birth day im now 23 and they still wear it once a year. Im always embarrassed; but i know they care and thats what matters.

Many people are trying to get past the idea that a pregnancy is over the second baby is born, when in fact, mother and baby’s journey lasts a few more weeks until both are fully healed and adjusted to life after physical separation. The “fourth trimester” deserves just as much research, education, and discussion as the first 3. ♥️

My spinal block ick. I felt it. He was putting it in my back, and it felt like bubbles popping in my back, and then it started to hurt. I jumped and said it hurts it hurts and the nurse pinned me down and was like, "DONT MOVE DONT MOVE STOP MOVING." They Numbed me some more, and then my bottom and legs got very, very warm, and then I didn't feel any pain. After he was born, they checked me with ice, and I wasn't watching, and shes like, "Can you feel this?" and I was like, "Are you even touching me?" I looked, and she had a bag of ice sitting on my belly. I was like "Oh, no, I guess not. "It took a long time for me to get my feeling back. My epidural with my first son I could move still. Not well, but I could move. There was no way I was just going to get up and start just walking like nothing happened after an epidural. But I could walk, but it wasn't easy. It was quite annoying, actually. I could still walk slow and / or with help. Legs felt heavy and weak and hard to control at times. My spinal block I couldn't move at all for hours. Very different expirences. Loved watching yours congrats on your boy ♡ I love you guys ♡

Natural birth is not for everyone. With my first I had an induction, it was awful, everything went wrong and I was begging from the start for a C-section, ended up needing an emergency csection due to the baby's heartbeat dropping and me bleeding loads. I did have quite a lot of trauma from that but the csection was a breeze, the recovery was so easy and I was happy. With my second, I had a planned csection. I loved knowing when it was going to be. Unfortunately everything went wrong for me, the spinal went to my brain, the pain was so bad it felt like my brain was coming out of my skull, I couldn't open my eyes the whole time so couldn't see my son be born, it caused heart issues, I was being sick constantly, It was horrendous. It took 10 weeks to recover. I have had both good and bad experiences and honestly just want to say no matter how it happens for someone else, it won't be the same for you. Thank you for sharing your experience ☺️

I actually thought you elected to get a C-section ahead of time, it makes me feel so much better knowing you initially hated the idea but then came around and had a good experience - I'm terrified of birth but C-section scares me so much too, I'm not squeamish seeing other people's surgeries and even helping with wound dressings etc (had to help my partner after a cyst removal recently) but when it comes to myself I cannot cope at all. I had a chest reduction at 19 and I felt utterly useless and sick for weeks :(( I guess it's made me more afraid of medical stuff

I was induced too because they were concerned my son wouldn’t fit through the birth canal if I waited any longer and they used that same thing to help my cervix dilate, I think it’s called cervadil. I can confirm that it is so incredibly painful! It feels really sharp and every time they change it (after 24hrs) the pain just gets worse because the hormones strip your vaginal lining raw and the doctors fingers literally feel like razors. It was by far the worst part of the whole labour

I’d like to know how Caitlin breast feeds when Leah gave birth and usually Leah would produce the milk…be interesting to know❤️

Caitlin took medication during Leahs pregnancy to induce lactation, she then had to use a breast pump regularly to build up a supply so there was enough milk when baby came 😊

I absolutely love this channel and this couple but I'm confused. I thought this video was being uploaded yesterday but then it disappeared after the premiere. Is this the same video as yesterday (just genuinely perplexed, no hate at all) x
