Ok…..so if they don’t do the IV on little kids until after they’re asleep, WHY can’t they do that for adults who are afraid of needles???

you can ask for emla/lidocaine patch for the IV/ injection (Netherlands). An adult needs much more N20 (gas) than a child (given body weight) and may have more side effects. You don't have to be ashamed to ask for the lidocaine patch. Everyone works better when the patient is relaxed.

My 5 year old great granddaughter had her tonsils and adenoids out 2 weeks ago. As soon as she woke up she wanted fried chicken. She got barbequed chicken for dinner. She talked non-stop all the way home from the hospital.

She did awesome! My son had his removed a few years ago when he was 8, and was trying to wheel away in the wheelchair by the time we were ready to go home haha If you haven’t experienced it yet, good luck with the bad breath phase of healing. They did NOT warn us about that and my goodness it was awful lol ❤️ from 🇨🇦

Yeah it hurt I had a tonsillectomy I was like 7 years old I think now I’m 19 years old will turn 20 in November

This was a great video. The care taken of Scarlett was amazing. Made her feel so special and and relaxed. Explained everything so well. Well done Mum and Dad: think it was harder for you than Scarlett. Scarlett you were amazing. So brave.❤I had my adenoids out when I was a little girl so I remember the sore throat. They are really great at explaining things. My niece had open heart surgery at 14 days old. She is now 27. They were really great at explaining everything and gave them charts for every step, and comforting my sister and brother-in-law. Layla's little dimples are adorable. I remember having my tonsils out when I was 6 and my sister had hers out at the same time she was 8. Lots of popsicles. Feel better soon Scarlet

They need to add what adults want to drink after surgery. Sometimes I am so out of it I don't know what way is up. 😂

My son had his adenoids tonsils and tubes put in his ears at the same age and afterwards he was fantastic. I hope Scarlet has the same reaction afterwards.

Wow what an amazing service! When my six year old daughter went in to have her tonsils and adnoids out it was AWFUL, our NHS service really let her down, the only choice she was given was either a mask or a shot obviously she chose the mask (against my better judgement) as soon as the mask touched her face and the smell of the gas hit her she FREAKED out, it took 3 male staff to physically hold her down until she was under, i had to leave then shaking and sobbing myself and because she went down fighting she came round fighting 😢 they had to call me and get me to come into the inner sactum to help calm her down. Total traumatic for us both. Im so glad Scarlett didnt have to go through that ❤

I had eye surgery done in late October that had to do with my lazy eye. I can't say that it was the worst surgery I have ever had but when I had pre cancer on my ovary, then my breast reduction then my eye. My cyst i had was the size of a grapefruit!!

Same here I had eye surgery on march 10 to fix my lazy eye and they were red for a few days but here I am now all better no more lazy eye

Her adenoids were enlarged making it hard for her to breathe and was causing speech enunciation issues.

Recently it's a tool that generates an intense heat which cuts and cauterise so that helps which helps the bleeding.

Layla had a lip and tongue tie release in a previous video. Scarlet has never had surgery or any type of invasive procedure, other than some cavities filled.
