I drive a bus round Cornwall country roads. Just practice. Always see tourists who drive down the middle of the road. It's so funny watching this. 😂

Wow Gloucester Services looks like a small village! The rice balls (I believe) are pronounced aranchini 👍🏻 I was holding my breath when you were driving them narrow roads ! How silly to have a massive bus going down such a narrow road 😱 you’re right Nick, Taylor is a thing of beauty 😍. Hope you’re having (had) an amazing time ❤️

Awwww it’s the same owners as Tebay services on the M6 Same layout and has the pond and walks . Food is lovely The onion bahjis are delicious . Always stop on my way home to Lockerbie

I’ve only been to Gloucester services once on a trip back from Devon and it is a lovely service station / farm shop. So nice , a refreshing change for services, a nice treat. X

That enormous service station was most impressive, and it looked like they had as much food available as a supermarket, but tending toward gourmet quality. I like the fact that they had the roof covered in greenery, which seems very eco-friendly.

All the meat pies and the chocolates look so wonderful at the service station. I wish we had pies like that here in the Midwest USA. It was great to see Lisa and Ade with you, too!

I love your van, what you’ve done, how nice it looks now in a small space. I live in a old 1971 school bus, 45 ft long. I can’t imagine how nuts Nick would be to recreate something so beautiful but me frustrated like Leigh rolling his eyes. Lol, adore you both so much. Would love to hug both, give big Texas hug. I appreciate your time posting and sharing. Thank you ❤️💋

Omg I almost cried seeing poor nicks face when the van wouldn’t start, but tell yourself it’s all part of the adventure and hubby thinks it may be an alternator, I don’t even know what that is so I hope it’s not too horrible.❤

Wife and I are touring the UK on a 10 day Trafalgar bus tour. First day we stop in York for the Minster and shambles and first night in Leeds! Thanks for your York videos a few months ago, they were very helpful. We come back to London via Liverpool and Bristol. It seems we pass near the Lodge and the apt. We’ll wave !! Thx for all the videos.

If you guys have joined the caravan and motor home club look out for the C/L sites certified location is what they are called they are basic but only cost a few quid xx love the van life vlogs x

Tebay northbound in Cumbria is even better.Owned by the same family I think. They also have Tebay southbound.

Loved the video tonight guys, can’t wait to see your Cornwall vlogs! If you guys ever come from Exeter down to Looe/Liskeard again, stay on the A38 and come through Plymouth and over the Tamar Bridge, there’s no lanes until the very last 5 minutes, will certainly save some raised heart rates😂💙

Wow how lovely guys as someone else said you are both beaming when you talk about the van life. I would have been nervous too Nick on the narrow roads. But trust Leigh more he did brilliant with the driving and more importantly remained very calm outwardly anyway. It must have exhausting Leigh as concentrating when driving like that. You looked very cool calm and collected especially when the bus came along. I hope it only a minor hiccup with the van not starting. Enjoy the time and views.

As an American I have to say that Gloucester Services looks absolutely amazing. It's like the service plazas you find on the Florida Turnpike, but a lot bigger. And looking at I can say Bucees has nothing on this place. Wow!! Just wow.

Growing up on the Isle of Wight there are narrow lanes and steep climbs everywhere as all the coastal towns are built on hills. Since moving to Portsmouth 27 years ago we often travel on country roads through Hampshire and West Sussex and encounter tractors coming in the opposite direction. My husband says there are specific sat navs for camper vans so if you can find a commercial garage that services and mot’s them that should be able to fit one 😀

Fingers fully crossed for it working out! How were the chocolate gingers? My fave chocolate! I have shared a few of your blogs with my mother who is extremely deaf and she has INSTRUCTED ME TO TELL YOU (the emphasis is I was orders lol) that you guys are very clear to understand as she lip reads and to say she is impressed is an understatement 😉💪

Just watching 😊 I live in Cornwall and when I moved here I was soooo scared of some of the roads! Beware of the Cornish hedges, there’s usually granite rocks/big rocks hidden behind the greenery!!!! You’ll have to head down to the Lizard next time you come to Cornwall xx

We stayed at Looe a couple of years ago but came a diff6way than you did. We came from Paignton as we'd been there for a week first. We came past that site and went over the bridge . We were towing our touring caravan so I know how you felt going on those roads. The husband was doing the towing though.

Hi guys .... I have seen many years ago people put cling wrap on their plates and or work bench when preparing food ... when finished eating etc the wrap just goes in the bin and hence no use of water for washing up or wiping bench😏😌 PS ... I line my fridge selves with it and it's fantastic.

TomTom go or Waze are good for what you guys were looking for, they allow you to input your vehicles dimensions and will avoid any routes too small for your vehicle, they also have options for avoiding the usuals like toll roads and motorways but I believe TomTom also lets you avoid narrow roads

Hi, yes I live in Devon, and been to Looe so many times, you came into it the long way, there is an easier road in, actually it’s the road you turned into, yes some roads are tight, but it’s seaside in Cornwall. I know maps are old fashioned now, but sometimes they are worth checking in places like Cornwall, especially with a van. Hope van is okay, and you have a great time .

Second best services in the UK maybe. The best is Tebay on the M6, the original one (1970's) opened by that same Cumbrian family. I always buy food on the way up north and on the way home again, as you say, it's very expensive but SO good. I've driven roads like that all over the UK but never in a van. Well done Leigh. Sometimes the roads are so narrow that you want avoid bushes even in a car. The funniest was in Scotland when the 'A' road turned out to be single vehicle width with passing places! Mostly I check the route on Google maps first because SatNavs WILL take short cuts over difficult roads.

Travelling by car in Cornwall in 2016 some roads, mainly dead ends leading down to the sea, had warnings on them about the size of vehicles, like your van and larger, not being allowed on the road/lane. This was largely ignored.

You need some cheap flip flops to wear in the public showers. Just helps protect against foot fungus.

We've got a Tom Tom for motorhome as you can put in your van measurements in so it will choose the best route etc

Guys if you ever come to Looe( Loo) use A38 not A30, then over the Tamar Bridge and it’s so easy. Sat nav is useless in Cornwall heed my advice

OMG that was stressful to watch…it was like immersion therapy for fear of country lanes!!! I hate country lanes so much - I’m always so fearful of some idiot driving 💯 mph in the opposite direction!! You did amazing Leigh 😅
