I made friends with neighbor cat. I think its a girl i brushed all her hair off this morning thats the second time she visited. She goes in and out whenever she wants. Tabby or calico i think. I dont have pets. She hasnt come in my yard yet. Her home is two doors down. I protected her from dogs one day also and last fall my other neighbor put out turkey for her on thanksgiving. She came right up after about an hour like she automatically knew it was hers and started munching. That cat has a spirit i can feel it i think she is good luck. I think she belongs to a black guy that never comes out. He was in a military accident i think

@@hannamccarthyh That was actually Ruzgar, not Pamuk...but it seems Ruzgar is just as easygoing! Love him! 😍 His orange is lighter than Pamuk's and he has a more slender face. You can see Pamuk and his chipmunk cheeks lying all the way to the right, on the floor, in that scene! 😃

It is one of the most soothing of homes to call in to visit. Kindness, gentleness - but I wish Walter could come inside and dleep on the heated floor. He is respectful of cats. He is getting older and stiffer and they get lots of snow and cold in winters. I always wanted underfloor heating, but I take in too many rescues. Can't afford it. But I love to visit here, as you do. Just gentle, calm caring. Happy cats... I thought Walter was name of dog!!!

Put up with her? It doesnt work that way my friend. You see, comedic narrative aside (the one where she's a princess and doesnt mix with the common folk), what is happening here is that this is a cat that doesnt feel safe when other cats get close to her. Eating on an elevated spot on a piece of furniture, is just because she feels safer there. She goes to drink water alone, before other cats get to it, so she can be alone and of course to make sure she doesnt miss her chance when all the other cats get there. Like humans, there are some cats that have become highly anti-social, mainly due to their past experiences especially when they were young. Perhaps when she was a kitten she attacked by another cat. Perhaps a male cat was chasing her around, and killed her kittens in order to get her to mate with him. Who knows what happened, but the fact remains that this is classic "I dont feel safe when others get close to me" behavior, more commonly known as anti-social behavior. Notice how she reacts when another cat is close to her "throne" (the discounted item the guy bought), and is standing up. She immediately slaps him, basically saying "you cant be so close to me, get away". Another cat later comes near her, and even though that one doesnt look threatening at all and even looks down, the princess slaps him too, just to be on the safe side. Cats like the princess are probably better on their own, they really shouldnt be in a place with a bunch of other cats, but in this case, due to this awesome owner, she somehow ok, mostly because the owner accommodates her, and makes sure that she feels relatively safe. It goes without saying, that cats like the princess need to be taken care of very well by their owners, more so than other cats. And lastly, just to make sure everyone gets it, the cat doesnt think she's better than all the other cats, nor is she particularly selfish or anything. She simply does not feel safe when close to other cats.

She is also a calico , calicos tend to be a bit more rambunctious.

The comment I was looking for 🤣. Their reaction is better than a kid anxiously waiting for that warm 🍪 from the oven. My first dog would come running anytime he heard the time go off, he knew something fabulous was coming out!

True. But with my cat😾 sleeping in my bed, around my knees (under my butt in other words) regularly, sometimes it's too hot to sleep deeply, and I have to put my feet out of my bed 😣even in the winter.😂💧

@@amikiam2250 Actually we have 4° Celsius outside, and it´s 17° inside. I like it cooler since this is more healthy for human and cat instead of expensive heating to 24° and dry air in winter. So the cat in bed is a good addition :-) In summer, the cat prefers to rest on the tiles in the bathroom to cool...

I've calicos too, but you can always find the matriarch in every big "family" group of felines. In my case the old female Norwegian forest cat is the matriarch and the wannabe is a calico/tortoise.

@@uppsalahazzemarkstedt2759 Here in the Mediterranean countries (I'm from Spain) calicos are the traditional cats. They are almost always the matriarchs in every family of cats. They are the most excellent hunters. They are also strong and resilient, they usually have longer lives. They are independent and extremely intelligent. And FIERCE. I used to take care of a group of cats where the matriarch was again a calico cat, well, her sons/daughters were the first ones to eat. The rest of the cats just waited for their turn. No one beats a calico, not even a male cat! They have such an attitude!

I had a calico once, and s a diva she bossed three of my other cats around. Unfortunately for her, an older and much larger* female was not impressed and simply ignored the calico, which really aggravated her. *The other cat, a white longhair, weighed a good twelve pounds (5.44 Kg) and was not at all overweight. She was bigger than most tomcats.
