It could also be the fact that the cheaper one is 4 string while the more expensive is 7 string. It's not a fair comparison. You probably wouldn't notice a difference unless your ears were trained to hear a high range of frequencies.
Everyone in this comment is retarded...they are electric, neither of them resonate..the sound goes through an electric pickup then through a speaker 😂🤣
thats because it uses a very dry, very hard, very dense, and very resonate wood. no wood like such are cheap, but theyre nowhere near 5000 wood+labor. the cheapest would be roasted maple, which could be found in guitars ranging from 300 - 3000++ or even higher.
@@TF_Tony yeah that's kinda what I meant it just sounded so simmilar it surprised me as beyond fallout and this short I haven't heard it, at least don't remember it outside of background music in a movie maybe
Its gonna be alright my man, i dont know how or why you lost her but you need to look ahead, dwelling on what could happen is good, it gives you perspective on what you should do right next time at the same time you should move on to make the perfect "next time".
You realize you’re talking about electronic instruments right? If you’re concerned about that then wait til you find out electric violins also use batteries. Ooooo
I didn't expect to be able to hear a difference (tiny phone speaker, electric violin, all that) but the second one instantly sounded smoother and more complex. It's absolutely gorgeous, too!
Wtf you crushed my picture of violins. Everytime I pictured a violin I think of the classic violins like a stradivari (probably mispronounced that one XD). But these look so cool and futuristic I mean if one of the aliens in the cantina band star wars scene played one of these I would've totally thought the prop master did a awesome job
@@ofilosofoouumfumante5655 I can see so many advantages for these though. Silent practise, probably easier to record with those piezos, and more durable and less maintenance as well I'm sure. Many people I've seen these play use effect pedals as well
@@ofilosofoouumfumante5655 if youre a session recorder, acoustic is an investment because you need a mic, an interface and a home studio. And at some point the electric ones will sound better, its just a matter of time. it happened with guitars and it will happen to violins :C
Back in 1958, I wanted a cheap violin for Christmas, but was given a guitar instead, which I didn't want. Both of the instruments were $15, but I think my father believed he could teach me the guitar, not the violin. The only time he tried to teach me the guitar was on moving day, from that house, about 12 years later. I never did learn the guitar, but I eventually repaired my grandfather's old violin and could play a few songs on it. My mandolin and banjo came later in life, and at 76, I have just given them away. Your violins sound fantastic!
Electric violins are sacrilegious- but anyways Good Luck with your journey! I play the violin too and I hope to get to a professional soloist level to play full concertos like Tchaikovsky's violin Concerto (one of the best one imo) or Mendelssohn's violin Concerto. But lemme tell you it's a long journey and our repertoire is messed up, from Bach sonata's to Paganini caprices and Prokofiev's violin Concerto
But you won't have competition when playing outside or in places without electric plugs cause there's ✨natural amplification ✨ and acoustic violins sound more deep and more colourful anyways, not like the sacrilegious electric violins
@@sebants_qc1018 weird af calling them sacrilegious. It's not like electric guitars replaced acoustic ones, they have their own sound own use and place in music why is it any different for an electric violin. There is nothing wrong with finding new ways to make music, purists just make things boring.
Is a 7 string guitar not a guitar when most of them have 6? Is a 6 string bass guitar not a bass guitar when most of them have 4? Regardless of that 7 stringer being closer to a Viol, not necessarily a violin. It plays like a violin, it sounds like a violin (and a viola on those low strings). It's a violin.
I'm just amazed at how seamlessly he transitioned the expensive one from fiddling into what sounds more like classical style playing. Hopefully I'm that good one day
The clarity is astounding but each has there unique qualities that can be utilized in amazing ways. Don’t let the price of an item determine your motivation to improve.
You can definitely tell the difference. 1st still sounds very good for being moderately priced but the latter has a clarity and richness that the first just cannot reach. Both are good but it’s clear why the first is more accessible.
I love that their "cheapest" violin still is a very good instrument. A bad instrument can completely ruin your motivation but music stores stock them nonetheless because they sell so many of them and it makes up for a lot of their profit.
We’re mostly an online shop. If we stocked crappy instruments just to make a few bucks, it would destroy the trust our customers have in us and we would rightfully go out of business.
they both sound amazing, and I love the choice of an irish reel/bluegrass sound to demonstrate them, but the more expensive one has a beautiful resonance and range that the less expensive one does not
1st one sounded like a dusk evening on the porch with your family all picking different instruments and drinking and eating and jusg having a good time. Amd the other sounds like you're hearing a work of art. Both beautiful
I feel like the first one has quite some resonance, which gives it some metallic notes, while the second one has sharper highs and more mids (not counting the extra strings).
