Im with you about the Sega Master. That was the first console we got as kids. Im 46 and i still have my original system with most of my games. Loved playing Space Harrier, Rastan, Golvellius.

DUDE! The MASTER SYSTEMMM! 😱 That system really did have some of the best 8-bit sounds too... I used to play one in a giant electronics department store in Redlands, back in the 80's. They even let you demo the 3D glasses back then :))

Master System is such a special system for me, I got mine for my birthday, even have pictures of me opening it. Still have it complete with its box to this day. I would never sell it, we didn't have a lot as kids and it was the first system that was all mine. Yeah I wanted a Mega Drive but when I got my Master System II I was so excited and played it to death. It's now RGB modded and has pride of place in my retro setup

4:10 Those VG Superstars Resident Evil figures are great. They are the same company behind the excellent Mario Kart 64 figs. I have the RE1 and RE2 complete, MOC. I ordered them when they were first offered, as with the MK64 (6 figures), and Zelda figures. I used to be a more active collector in the 90's,. Working for a game store helped. :) -MattH

Just picked up some mid 80's press kits last weekend. Christine, Brazil, Star Trek IV, Space Camp... The Sega Master System was the first console of my own that wasn't a family item (of course it was available to everyone). Many hours were spent on Out Run, Shinobi, Afterburner and Choplifter. BTW, the best version of Double Dragon is on the Master System.

Hey riff I can totally appreciate your love for for the sega master system and its so refreshing to hear an American with such love for the system, im 39 and from the UK, and this was my very first video game console I got for Christmas when I was 7 years old I absolutely love it to bits even too this day!! Sick deal dude. That sega master system box was my first system as kid in the Christmas 1986. The 3d glasses was fun, I end up stepping on them a couple years later and breaking them. So many memories playing it, double dragon, Reggie Jackson baseball, ghostbusters and California games.
