Mazunte is the beautiful little beach town we also visited for a couple of weeks back in May 21. The small beach town is located in Oaxaca, Mexico and is full of cozy nooks, chill vibes and lot’s of amazing restaurants and cafes.

Goodness. I remember my days doing this 30 years ago. Ten dollar hotel rooms, maybe you get a toilet, maybe not. Long before YT and IG. Great memories.

Cool place to stay! Great price too! That smoothie looked ridiculous. The pool looked amazing. We had no idea there were options for that price so close to the beach. Great job 👏. The beach looked beautiful too! So cool we Bumped into you there. And what a great place for sunset!

I went there with my father around 25 years ago, beatiful Place, so chill and off the grid. Glad you like my country and my family’s home state, Oaxaca. By the way, Kristian looks a lot like Hannes Van Dahl, Sabbaton’s drummer!

Ah that’s cool! I have heard stories about Mazunte back then from people who has lived here 30+ years. It’s still beautiful and special but a lot has happened since then. Oaxaca state is really beautiful and a lot to offer! Haha I have never thought about that, but true (I think Kris is more handsome though🤷🏼‍♀️😍😂). Wish you a beautiful day! ☀️🌴

I went there 20 yrs ago too! Looks very different now but still has charm and still beautiful, I would go back! When i went it was very simple....mainly palapas for tents/hammocks and a few restaurants. We could camp there for free if we ordered frm the restaurants. Cheap food, quiet beach, was perfect. I saw a video about chacahua, and that area looks like mazunte back in the day! Thks for sharing!

Pretty little town. It's awesome how you guys find these last minute spots. Only time I ever went to a place last minute with no place booked was NYC for Thanksgiving. Lol fell asleep in Grand Central Station. You guys make Mexico look amazing! Being from the US all you see is the bad things coming out of Mexico, usually along the border. I pove seeing these great beautiful places from you guys. Makes me start planning my Mexico trip.

Haha thanks! Sometimes you get good deals when you do last minute, sometimes not. But damn, I don't think sleeping in Grand Central Station could have been very nice. I hope next time you do last minute it will work out better for you! I am SO happy to hear that you feel that way. I think Mexico is a misunderstood country. And I think the medias often portray the country much worse than it is. Mexico is such a beautiful country and the people are usually very sweet and super helpful! I have been traveling solo female in the country as well - also without any trouble at all! If you happen to come here then I really wish you a pleasent time and wonderful new memories in this lovely country! 🎅🏽🥳

I would ask the owner for a toilet seat and Towels or a discount then with that money I would buy Towels and a Toilet seat .I myself ,I'm not picky when it comes to rooms motels,Hotels .As we say in the Army as long as I can Shit ,Shower and Shave I'm good.I'd rather spend less money on the room and have more money to travel or to spend out in the Town .We never did have poopity poop music in the Army lol enjoyed the video .

Hi there! Thanks for you suggestions. We tried asking them but they said "that's just how it is". We didn't want to buy a towel and toiletseat since we were only going to stay there for such a short time (and were are not picky and can handle most haha), and afterwards head to another a cheap place which had those two things. Haha I like the saying haha and you should try it with the music haha it gives "privacy" or haha whatever you would call that. Thanks for watching and wish you a beautiful day! 🎅🏽🥳

I've been concerned about eating the lettuce in Mexico due to the low quality of water. Thoughts?

It depends on your gut and "how much" it can handle. If you're used to living in countries like Mexico, it might not be a problem, but if you are here for only a short visit it's probably best just to avoid it. I usually dont have problem but have had it twice during my last year in Mexico so I have started avoiding raw spinach, cucumber and lettuce. If it's on a restaurant and the general hygiene at the place seems good I don't worry too much about it and maybe order a dish that contains it. So it depends on how your gut normally handles it and if you wish to take the risk :D

Thank you so much! Sure - the place is called Hotel Rinconcito. You pay 100pesos to use the pool for the entire day. There’s bar/restaurant you can buy food from there as well 🙌🏼
