Great video, the architecture in Europe always amazes me at how beautiful it is. Glad you filmed your day in Fulda and gave us the history of the US Army base there. Excellent ending to the video with the flyaway drone footage. Drones have taken blogging to another level.
Ich war noch nie in Fulda, sieht ganz nett aus. Ist 3 Stunden von Köln. Das schöne an meiner Gegend ist, dass ich 3 Städte in 30 Min Umkreis habe. Köln, Düsseldorf und Bonn. Wenn Ihr mal Zeit habt solltet Ihr die Städte besuchen!
Dann kommst du vermutlich aus einer ähnlichen Gegend wie ich. Brauche von meiner Heimatstadt auch etwa 30-40 Minuten in alle drei Städte (Köln etwas weniger, Düsseldorf etwas mehr). Habe fürs Studium die letzten 2 Jahre in Fulda gelebt. Muss aber gestehen, dass ich meine Heimat vermisst habe und jetzt gerne wieder hierher zurück ziehe. Aber als jemand, die die Strecke Köln-Fulda sicherlich schon 15 mal gefahren ist (mit dem ICE) kann sagen: kann man durchaus mal machen 😄
@@starseed8087 also beide ICE fahren ca 1 Stunden und man muss in Frankfurt umsteigen. Es gibt auch einen durchgängigen ICE. Der fährt aber 4 Stunden, weil der einen großen Umweg fährt.

Ah one of the many Army Bases we visited when I was a child and dad was stationed there. So wish I could move there but there’s the whole needing a job thing 😕

First, I must say that I am so envious! My family and I have had the pleasure of visiting Germany 3 times. We have all fell madly in love! My dream is to take an extended trip for a month or more. How fantastic for you to actually have the opportunity to live there full time! Thank you for sharing your day out. It was fun following you around Fulda. I've actually changed trains there but did not have the opportunity to properly explore. German food is so good but I have not yet tried one of their burgers. Have you ever heard of the Kaffee und Kuchen tradition? It would be a good excuse for Lara to enjoy cake at another time. BTW, I love the name of your channel! (Who doesn't love a city filled with cobblestone streets?) And, I also loved the final drone shot over the castle ruins!
Aww, I hope you are able to fulfill your dream of having an extended trip in Germany. We love it so much here 🥰 Fulda is a pretty fun city to walk around and enjoy the sites, and lots of good restaurants for night time fun. We loveeee Kaffee und Kuchen- the best combo ever 🤤 German burgers aren’t nearly as good as an American style burger, but we will take what we can get!! Thank you!! We though cobblestone adventures was a pretty fun name too 🥰🥰

Leibniz Butterkeks - oh mein Gott! As a child I dipped them in milk until all the milk was absorbed and inside the cookies and the cookies were soft and bloated and the whole thing looked a little bit disgusting but it was soooooo good! Liebe Grüße!
Really beautiful city, I've been there a few times - maybe next time you should visit the Fulda Dom inside (grave of St. Boniface), enjoy the rosegarden right next to the Dom or across the street that beautiful park. Go a little hike up the hill, to Franciscan cloister - you'll get a breathtaking view! And the park there is also wonderful, esp. during fall. CU there! 🙂
Ah yes, and I forgot: right in the city, behind a huge wall, there is also a cloister, benedictines - you can't visit the cloister, but the garden is really beautiful and relaxing. And take the chance, listening to the women's angelic voices during prayertime. No need of understanding the words, just sit back and feel like in heaven

to bad, i can only give one thumps up. The taube struggling the pommes, love it! In my opinion the Fulda Cathedral looks like a cathedral in Spain or South America. Brasil, Argentina or Mexico and Cuba. It has a very strong spanish influecne, which is cool and seldom in Germany, imo. The stuff in hans im Glück paied attention to their guests. Very nice and a beer geht immer. thumps up. I hope the Burger was okay. Doesnt look like its was super duper, but not disgusting either. Just okay. And a smal hint, because Jared likes history, look up for Grünes Band. I suggest Point Alpha to go a vist. It is just an former american watchtower. And maybe Jared have heared about Fulda Gap before.
Thank you so much! The Dome is beautiful, we haven't seen much of that Architect style around here. The burger was pretty good, not what we are used to eating in the states of course but it fills the void for sure! We visited Point Alpha last year on vacation but it was soooo cold and rainy, we definitely want to visit again on a nicer day and take our time.
Beim nächsten mal die Bedienung einfach fragen ob sie mit euch Deutsch sprechen kann, da ihr gerne Deutsch lernen wollt. Viele wollen nur höflich sein und euch damit helfen und euch entgegen kommen, wenn sie Englisch mit euch sprechen. Das ist garnicht böse gemeint. :)
The most beautiful city in the area you live in is Marburg, in my opinion. It has an incredibly beautiful historic city center featuring a castle at the top of a mountain. additionally you get a really nice flair with the river Lahn right in the middle of it. If you're looking for really cool shots with half timbered houses, you should go there, as it's just around the corner :)
In my opinion, all towns and cities in Central Hesse are worth seeing and charming. Wetzlar with Lottehaus, Dom and Reichskammergericht, where Goethe studied. Gießen with the museums, especially Mathematikum and botanical garden. Alsfeld with the famous town hall, which adorns every model railroad layout. Lich, Büdingen, Barbarossastadt Gelnhausen are breathtaking. Know what ? There are even more: Herborn, Schotten, Lauterbach, Ullrichstein, Grünberg, Butzbach...

@@zappel64 Sorry to contradict you in one case, but Gießen is not a beautiful city, I can attest to that as I see that city on a daily basis ;) It is worth a visit though, due to it's rather good shopping infrastructure (at least for a city of it's size) and it's rather good nightlife (due to the large number of students). On the topic: Lich by the way has the coolest cinema in the area, the Traumstern is definitely worth a visit. ;> It has just one of the coolest atmospheres and shows a rather interesting alternative program. For example I saw a live performance of the russian oppositional collective Pussy Riot there recently. You missed Braunfels by the way, that city is absolutely stunning, just as its surroundings, so going there on an extended bike trip would be my advice in this case. When coming from the Vogelsberg you can even see remnants of the Limes (in Watzenborn-Steinberg for example), the old roman border to the area they called Germania, along the way. ;>

Been living in Germany for years from Ireland, I find the east of Hessen absoulety dead, some nice architecture yeah but to live there is another matter completely. East Hessen is full of Ghost towns with nothing going on especially for young people, met many people from different countries with the same opinion. Pity really
I love my little ghost town. Big cities are way too hectic and loud. If you love nature it's definitely worth a visit. Big cultural events are rare but it just makes them more special. I quite enjoy this minimalistic lifestyle without any fomo. Also it's perfect for living a self-sustaining lifestyle. It's so nice to be able to grow fruits and vegetables at home. It's outlived cottagecore at it's best. Not for everyone but also not bad at all.
@@lilaliner1432 to visit yeah but as I said to live is another matter. Me da use to say to me you would have to be born into these little villages and towns to want to live there, in my experience it's true. Had a couple of mates come over to a town I was staying in and first thing they asked was where is the young people 😅, Germany has an ageing population and you can really see it's majority old people in a lot of these ghost towns. Pub culture is more or less dead in these towns and the German youth just want to stay in each other's gardens and so on, I found this so frustrating coming to a weekend and nobody wants to go to what pubs are left. Coming from a culture of people I would definetly consider more open and friendly then most Germans this was an eye opener to say the least. But to each and their own
@@6Tghma as I said it's more for experiencing the beautiful nature. There are not many people sometimes u will not meet anybody for hours= basically untouched nature. Our nightlife is quite good for a small town. Obv no clubs, but cute little places to hang out or parties to go to
