Best part of the remodel, they removed the telephone from the water closet. Definitely a wise choice! The “sandwich” of the blanket between the sheets has always been a thing. Every Disney Resort makes the beds that way. I used to be a Disney Mousekeeper at the Grand before the transfer to my current position. I get a lot of calls from people wondering why we don’t have blankets on the bed… thank you for showing that they are on the beds. Trip Trick: You don’t have to walk Coronado if you don’t want to. If you’re at the Gran Destino Tower you can board a theme park bus from the GDT bus stop and it will take you to the bus stops at Casitas, Ranchos, and Cabanas areas. The theme park buses leave from Cabanas directly with Gran Destino as the first stop in the route. The Disney Springs bus is the only bus that leaves the resort from Coronado at the GDT bus stop. To answer your question, there are NO refills at theme parks. You can refill at ANY resort hotel (not just your own) but not theme park and the water park refills only work with water park refill cups. Also the food court name was changed several years ago, prior to the opening of the Gran Destino Tower building. It used to be called the Pepper Market. Coronado Springs is also one of the resorts that has converted the TVs where you can cast to the TV from your own device.

I stayed at Coronado springs with my mom and brothers when I was 10! We were roomed near the digsite pool area. It was during my first trip to Disney, so seeing this place brings back so many memories.... My mom's no longer with is, but the memories will always be there 🥰

I stayed at the Gran Destino six months ago- it was absolutely fantastic. I loved everything about the resort. Yes, it is HUGE, but the tower actually made everything really convenient.
Tim, surprised you're not all that familiar with the RapidFill mugs. They work at *resorts only*, but they do work at all resort locations no matter where you bought.

This video made me a little sad as we were due to stay at coronado in 2020 but couldn't travel from the UK. Weve put our trip back to 2023 but are now staying at all star movies due to a finance change. I'm so happy we still get to visit Disney though! X

I’ve stayed here once and don’t like how sprawling it is but it is beautiful ! I believe it’s bigger than magic kingdom. I remember having to drive or take the bus to the main area to get food.
Coronado Springs is underrated. The transportation is fine. We had no problem with buses. The rooms outside the tower are lovely and much less $$. Three Bridges has great burgers and the churros are gluten free!
My husband and I stayed at Coronado Springs in the Gran Destino tower for a week at the end of January. It was the perfect resort for us! Loved the beautiful decor and landscaping…and that lake! We tried almost every restaurant while we were there. The Rix Sports Bar was our favorite! I was also super impressed with all the storage in the room.
We stayed a few nights in one of the Casitas buildings for a few nights for the 50th celebration on Oct. 1st. The room we had was decorated the exact same way. That resort is definitely a nice one. I love the lobby as well and the smell when you first walk in is amazing.
Hi Tim! In the Disney World app, the lake restaurant is called three bridges bar and grill at villa del lago! Not sure why it’s not signed that way… but at least you know you’re not crazy! Also! The Barcelona lounge inside the destino tower has some breakfast entrees and Spanish coffee as well! And the coffee is sooo good!

The best part of Coronado is the lounge/bar at the top floor of the tower! They have outdoor seating where you can see into Hollywood Studios. The drinks are amazing and its such a relaxing vibe, perfect for taking it easy after a busy day at the parks.
I toured this place when it first opened, and I'll agree - it is HUGE - glad they built 3 Bridges at least. I also found there really is no area that's close to everything - either you have to be close to the "main area" (El Centro?) or the pool area, but not both. Maybe 3 Bridges has fixed that, don't know. I will say that while the rooms are not very "Disney" to me, I know they're trying to appeal to a wider audience - like conventioneers, and it is gorgeously landscaped. And the reading lights/USB plus by the beds are nice, convenient touches, and the rooms do have a "clean and modern" look, and LOVE the barn doors on the way to the bathroom. Also like you can control the overhead light and ceiling fan (also a great touch!) and thermostat from the bed. Also love that it comes with a Keurig, and some actually DECENT k-cups! Nice "hack" showing how to use the clothesline in the bathroom! The 1st time I saw on of those was at OKW, YEARS ago, and my friends and I could NOT figure out what the HECK it was, or how to use it! We wasted SO much time messing with it, and then FINALLY asked somebody a few days later! LOL. That is definitely a gorgeous lobby area. And I agree - love resort-specific merch, and when i used to come down regularly, I'd always get something (usually at least a shirt) from wherever I stayed, to help remember the trip, and i used to also collect the resort-specific refillable mugs, when they were a thing. I'm not sure about the Destino Tower, but I absolutely LOVE the rest of this resort for those looking for an affordable but fun/accommodating resort. I love all of the storage in that room! It sure beats the over the door shoe pocket organizer I bring and hang on the closet bar to organize our toiletries. They could add a thing piece of wood on one of the vanity area doors to cover the gap. Although I think I prefer the curtains used in that area at French Quarter. I’m so glad to see more ceiling fans! We had one at POFQ this year.
We stayed at Coronado during Christmas week and it was such a wonderful stay. That resort is so large, we hardly saw anyone unless we were at the bus stop or at the Tower.
Wow I’m so happy you explained the line in the bathtub!! Now I know next time I’m on the cruise!! I used it but a heavy wet bathing suit definitely made the line drag down.

Disney-mooned in a room around the corner from yours, Room 6336, 23+ years ago when the resort was a few months old!! It looks so much different now!!! Rooms used to be dark inside and there was a curtain across the sink entry. Coronado Springs rooms have always had ceiling fans.
Coronado is a beautiful resort. My daughter and I stayed there last May. It was my birthday trip. They were so nice we got an upgraded room with a view of Grand Destino Tower.
We stayed in the Ranchos after your tour video, so thanks, I would never have considered it if I'd not seen your tour! Plus it was discounted at the time (2018) due to the renovations in progress :) was so nice and quiet, though was less convenient to navigate without a car.
The sparkling energy drinks you were looking at remind me of some of the stuff I first tried before I started to work at home. (The Peach Mango Green Tea is my favorite, but I also recommend the Watermelon flavor. )
hope surgery goes well! my mom had a hernia surgery a few years back. the hardest part she said was all the lifting restrictions for the recovery phase

We are thinking about staying at Coronado Springs Resort this coming Spring so I appreciate the room tour. We've only stayed at Boardwalk Villas with boardwalk views but would like to try a moderate resort. I love the decor and layout of the room (added plus a tub/shower combo and double sinks).
When I first read this I thought it said Colorado Springs. Oops. But still a cool tour. I was excited though. I was wondering why I never heard of this in Colorado haha.

Booked there I September 2016 for 2 weeks but we didn't know it had a convention centre and after about 4 days of mot being able to get to the bar as it was mental and the small pool by our apartment was packed with adults just screaming and swearing all day so as this wasn't the Disney experience we expected we went to reception and had a chat with them and they moved to animal Kingdom savana view and couldn't do enough to help us and make sure we enjoyed our Disney holiday,if that was back here in the UK they would have just done nothing,cheers
