07 Silverado crew cab 1500 5.3 4x4 classic first truck I bought when I was 18. Cleaning her all up (rockers, cab corners, bed, paint, new components and wiring and fuel pump and just the whole 9 yards) now I’m 20 got about $7k into her doing all the work myself at home.
My first truck was a 1979 ford bronco xlt. Red and white. Never had a title for it. So i just drove it on my family's property. First truck i got to drive on the road was a 1985 ford ranger 2wd but on the 4wd chassis with the 2.8 v6. Fords was expensive to repair so i turned to chevy and im happy i did. I drive a 1996 chevy tahoe blue over bronze paint and a 2000 chevy s10 ext. Cab. I wish i could show you the work ive put in to the 96 chevy tahoe. Its a nice transformation.
Dakota needs a 4th gen dogde ram 2500 hemi with a 5.7L v8 with a Flowmaster 40 dual exhaust system with a 5 or 6 inch rough country lift with some American forces or fuel wheels on 37 inch tires
So this is my first ever truck build and I'm starting with a 2011 F-150 XLT SUPERCAB 5.0 coyote with true dual exhaust, BakFlip Mx4 bed cover, black LED taillights and blacked out windows all around. Now I'm getting ready to order some ARKON Lincoln 24×14 black with 33's and a 6in lift, new headlights. That's the start and from there I got other plans.
Since Dakota is a big boy who also into fast cars i think a 2006 or 2007 chevy ss edition with the 6.0 gass engine would suit him perfectly or if he wants to embrace yee yee life style get a 2007 2013 gen 2500 hd with 6.0 too haha can't wait to see what he gets
currently rockin a 04 chevy avalanche z71 4x4 and getting more done on it when i get my taxes nex yr so i can sell it for a good price. maybe throw in a procharger but idk yet
my fist truck was a 2001 ford f150 xlt single cab stepside in white it had a 2 inch level kit stock rims spay panted black with biger tries a buntch of stickers subs 5%tint all around but my truck now is a 2008 chevy siverdo lt z71
My first truck was a brand new 01’ Tacoma, then bought a brand new 05 2500hd crew cab with a 6.0l leveling kit and 33’s, sold it and got a 08’ crew cab with duramax to tow all the family and toys sold it thinking I no longer needed a truck my suburban was good. Just last week came across another grandpa with a clean 05’ 2500 gasser low mileage poor guy had his license taken by state of CA long story short I now own his baby it’s low mileage super clean and him and I couldn’t be happier. The next two years I will be dialing it in for when my oldest son starts driving kinda kool his first truck will be the exact same thing my first ever big purchase was 18yrs ago lol.
Dakota needs a 4th gen Ram 2500 6.4 hemi in Delmonico Red. Keep it gasser but HD gasser. You have the best of both worlds, gasser so cheaper to maintain but 3/4 ton bigger engine and able to tow anything you want. Put it on a 5 1/2" BDS lift with fox 2.0 shocks, 20X12 wheels and 38" Maxxis Razr MT 772 tires. ;) perfection
My first shitbox is a 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500. Z71 of course. Bought it rust free from North Dakota 3 years ago have done a bunch of stuff to it and now the body is rusting away
Dakota looks like a cummins guy to me. I say he should go with a cummins. Also me and Jerry need to have a conversation because i have the same set up on my truck amd my cv axles are at a terrible angle.
They typically sync on their own with in the first 10-20 miles of driving if they do not, any tire shop local to you should be able to get 'em to sync for ya!
1993 f150 xlt 4x4 with 144xxx miles and some rust 32 inch tires 6 inch rough country sound system and window tint and full exhaust headers and everything. Want 24x14 american forces on a 33x14.50 furry country hunter, starlight headliner, head lights tail lights put a lund visor on rock lights wheel lights and lights under the dash. I got it when I was 14 now I'm 16
