We see different captains for ODI's nd T20 only if their ODI's captain is of defensive technique or he struggles to get a spot in T20 playing eleven,so as Bavuma,Joe Root nd Pat Cummins,,but due to their exceptional performances in ODI's,they r captaining the side in ODI,,but really it's very rare,,even u can see the Captains of associate nations,,formula is pretty similar

Bowlers captaining the side and that too fast bowlers is rare itself and for obvious reason. Their workload needs to be managed. Batsmen will be first choice when the right candidates are available.

While Wasim by people who know the game is rated highly for his captaincy. Babar did well in white ball cricket by reaching semi finals and final in T20 world cups in the finals of the T20 Asia cup but he came back empty handed because in all these matches he made the wrong calls and was to laid back and defensive. Ifhe had won any trophies we would not be having this conversation.
