Our first time visit to Chincoteague Island last fall was a vacation to remember for this nature and wildlife lover. We encountered the famous wild ponies in their pristine natural surroundings, visited the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge with its untouched beach, marshes and wetlands, walked around the historic downtown and harbor and witnessed beautiful sunsets with perfect weather for our entire vacation. On our last day we took Captain Dan’s Boat Tour and got to see more wild ponies and experience more of the natural beauty of this special place and learn the history of the area. This vacation was a wonderful blend of nature, wildlife and serenity.
