Linda, I’m crying right there with you my friend . I wish I could give you a big hug right now! Even during your hard times you have a way of making things beautiful still! My heart is feeling your sadness and I pray that you and Ben find comfort in such a sad time. From someone who truly has been there , (I lost both my parents 3 months apart) I was 28 at the time I am now 60. I cherished the times I had with them. And as time went on, I was blessed to take that time and remember all the wonderful memories I had with them and that’s how I got through it. Sending prayers to you and Ben!

The slight loss of freedom to pack up and go is the one thing stopping me from getting a pup. So perhaps when I am more able to be weighed down, it'll happen. But vlogs about dog-friendly places to stay would be just wonderful.
Oh my, I offer my condolences to you and Ben, and the whole family. I know your pain. My husband has lost all of his immediate family and I have lost my Dad. It’s one of the hardest things to live through, and carry on afterward, without your loved one. There are days that I still just can’t put the hurt out of my mind, and no matter where I am or who I’m talking to, if the tears come, then they do, and I’m not embarrassed of it in the slightest. All that means and shows, is you are capable of loving to the fullest, and the deepest, of your soul. 💜 If I may, on a lighter note, I was born and raised in New Jersey, so New Jersey and New York State and NYC were my stomping grounds. That said, my parents would take us on weekend trips all through the year, to every other part of New England (proper). I grew up thinking that anywhere we went, be it New Jersey, or any state not considered New England proper, was still New England to me! My home was colonial and we lived in Colonial Oaks. It was not until I truly learned which states were really considered to be New England, years later in school. To me personally, I still think of New England, as anything from New Jersey, over and up, the upper half of the East Coast. My point in saying this, is I know since New England proper, is probably your main focus for all of your trips, for others that think like me, you sure could go slightly out of the proper area, to New York. Halloween is coming!!, 🎃, and as I have been there myself, so many others have not, and you could go to Sleepy Hollow!! It’s a lovely place, and I’ll never forget it. The history is amazing, and to go farther than the book, the legend, and the movie, you have the cemetery there, and it is one of the most haunted places in the U.S., really the whole town as well. What an awesome trip that would be for you both, as well as a Halloween treat for us! 🧡
I've met many that thought NJ or NY were part of New England. When you hear history, you think they should be for sure. I call NJ and NY New England neighbors I've honestly never heard the term New England proper before. That does sound like a wonderful trip!

Linda, I am so sorry about the loss of your dear Father in Law. Despite your loss, this was a lovely video. I can highly Recommend the Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. And the other exquisite place is The Black Point Inn on Prouts Neck in Scarborough, Maine. Don't know if you have stayed at The Old Ritz , Boston, then became The Taj, and now is the Newbury. They always took dogs. I know absolutely The Inn By the Sea WELCOMES dogs in every way!! There is a gorgeous beach in front of the hotel that is very quiet after labor day. There is a beautiful boardwalk to get to the beach. The Black Point Inn is a short ride away for lunch or dinner. The Inn also has excellent food. I lived around the corner at Two Lights for 34 years so I know it very well. I actually lived at the old Crescent Beach Inn that once stood there, while my Dad built my home at Two Lights, before it burned to the ground. Cape Elizabeth is absolutely beautiful.

I'm a Cryer especially over sintelmental reasons rather its a childhood memory, an adorable picture of a child, or a song. I'm very happy you have decided to take Willow traveling with you. Just so that you don’t break any more lovely glass cups, mugs, or tea cups. Always, always remember to put a stainless spoon or knife in the container you are pouring hot water into first, then pour. Hi Linda, I’m sorry to hear about closing of your adorable little shop at Twin Elm Farm….I certainly understand why you need to do it. I will just have to frequent your online store more often! It’s so difficult to lose a much loved parent…. Life is often bittersweet, and we just never know what’s coming around the corner. Many of us are at that stage of life where we have aging parents, and this is, of course, inevitable. I hope sharing this loss with your kindred spirits has helped to ease your pain just a bit. Hello Linda, I was just thinking the other day how do you do remodeling, videos, twin, Elm’s and Instagram. Fall in a box sounds wonderful. I love boutique hotels that I can bring my dog, can’t wait. It is hard losing a parent. Their is no replacing them. We would like for our parents to live forever but the way we remember them strong and active. Ben and Linda you are in my prayers.

Linda, so sorry about your father-in-law. My husband's mom passed a month ago and although she lived a good long life, she is well missed by all her children and grandchildren. I would like to mention that the Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth, Maine is one of our favorite spots. We go in March when the rates are lower and it's quieter, but it is a boutique resort with a fabulous view and restaurant. They welcome pets. Great blueberry martinis as well!

Oh Linda, we just returned from vacation, so I'm just now catching up with my YT channels. I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss with Ben's father. No matter if they're healthy or have struggled with many ailments, that sting of their loss is still so significant and painful. We only have my mother-in-law left of all of our parents, so I do understand the grief and heartache that comes from this particular loss. We speak of how life with our parents is what we've always known from the time of our birth, so it's an odd feeling when their presence is no longer here on this earth with us.
