Our Favorite Pattern and Sewing Books! 

In the past, I have made patterns and clothes for historical recreation. I had covid last year and now struggling with long covid. Brain fog has been a real struggle and I'm trying to teach myself pattern drafting and making clothes again. Thank you for reminding me that I don't have to remember everything! I have Helen Joseph Armstrong's book and Jenny Rushmore's book. Looking into finding a copy of Julie Cole's book. You are both amazing and looking forward to next month's live!

Kathleen Spike's book Sew to Success was my bible when I started my custom dressmaking business. The dewey decimal code for costume books is 391. I often raid the library for patterning, design and fashion history as my bookcase is full. The TR Cutting Books are next on my list.

Catching this on the replay as I got my left eye cataract removed today. In regards to fitting I wish they had techniques or tools to help with things such as fitting with a belly, bad knees, bad back, or other physical limitations.
