It was such a good find! Really simplistic but everything you need to comfortably rest after a day of sightseeing (plus the team working there were so helpful). Thank you for your comment, I hope you enjoy your next trip! ❤️
I've stayed here a couple of times (and will again in a couple of weeks). The window in your first room seemed unusually narrow. All the windows in the standard rooms are narrow, but not usually THAT narrow! It should be noted that some rooms don't have a window at all, only a light box. They do actually have rooms with windows facing the Old Town and overlooking the castle. Those are the ones to request if you're "in the know". I've never had breakfast in the hotel, tbh, I prefer something more substantial. There's a Wetherspoon pub, which does breakfast, about a 30 second walk away, and I go there. There's more choice and you can have a Full English if that's your desire. I'm in two minds about the hot drink arrangements. On one hand, it's a bit of pain having to put my shoes on and go downstairs in the lift every time I want a hot drink. On the other the selection and quality is far better than the packets of instant you usually find in a typical hotel room.
A great video and nice to compare the two rooms. I would have been crying though, if I had just paid £39 a night for the first two nights, then had to fork out £116.50 for one extra night. My wife and I had a mini break in London late last year, our first trip away for several years. We stayed at the Premier Inn Hub at Goodge Street and had a fantastic time. Hotel location perfect and staff great too. We had bought a Two Together railcard too, so had our first rail journey in over 20years, which was a lovely bonus. We had the £5 breakfasts in London and they were perfect. It was so good, we've already booked our next trip away, this time at Edinburg in March. We once again booked a Premier Inn Hub hotel, the one at Haymarket. The larger room worked out at only £7 more for our 3-night stay, so would have been silly not to pick it. We are looking forward to the trip .. I think my wife has already started packing. Once again, we'll be travelling by train .. from Newcastle. Regards from Whitley Bay
