BAND-MAID has everything a rock band needs: a killer bass player, a monster on the drums, a genius composer for a lead guitarist, a charismatic vocalist, and a rhythm guitarist/vocalist willing to do everything she can to help her band-mates achieve greatness. They're all amazing at what they do.

One word to describe this official music video is "EPIC". The response from first time viewers of "From Now On" is "What the hell!". That's what it's all about being a Band-Maid fan.

Another great instrumental (and a little more joyful) is "Onset", the official live video. It's another Band-Maid romp. The band puts these instrumentals in the setlists to give Saiki, their vocalist, a rest break. In the past, Saiki had to have vocal cord surgery to remove polyps, so she and the rest of her bandmates are quite mindful of giving her that needed break.

Thanks guys, definitely a great intro into Band Maid, they take a back seat to no one, rock on!!!!

Great reaction! Yeah, this is absolutely a guitar concerto, with the guitar taking the place of the voice as the melody. My take on the meaning is... From now on... we have no fear, and are going all out for greatness. The story of the instrumental YYZ by Rush is the feeling you get landing at YYZ airport in Toronto, which for them is returning home. You can totally feel the sense of the high tech jet, the landing, and bustle of the airport, and a sense that's not exactly nostalgia, but more excitement to be returning to things familiar.

You're right, Kanami did the singing with her guitar. Personally, I think the message is that Band Maid isn't holding back From Now On. In fact, one of their instrumental songs is named Without Holding Back. Another is called Onset. All the names refer to the music itself.

This was the song that changed everything for me. Probably many others as well. Few bands do instrumentals. Even fewer bands have the talent to do instrumentals. It’s rarified air where these Maids are where they can make you feel different emotions and travel along the storyline of the composition Here are a couple more songs that I think are statement pieces. “Thrill” “Blooming” “About Us” “Endless Story,” official live with captions on.

Band Maid from Japan and The Warning from Mexico are two of the best bands out there. They performed a show together on June 12th 2024 in Japan.

Hey guys, you're right. Kanami sings with her guitar here ala Gilmour. The nuance and placement are gorgeous. btw, I noticed you enjoyed the high sustained bend right before the chorus, as I do. I think it takes the song to an even higher level. But Kanami replaces it with a 4 note run when doing this song live. No idea why. Anyway it's still my favorite BAND-MAID song and we'll have to wait until their new album comes out in September to see if they can top it. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Peace. 191

Just a guess, but I'm pretty sure that, er, from now on you're going to be watching a lot more Band-Maid. But then they are THE best Hard Rock band in the universe. And probably in many parallel ones too.

Great reaction guys, one of my favorite instrumentals in a pack of outstanding instrumentals . Glad you're having fun with the Band-Maid videos, best rock band around. BTW, you probably need to branch out now to some of the other great Japanese female rock/metal bands. While Band-Maid, for me, is my all time favorite going all the way back to the late 60's, there are a lot of other great all female bands that you need see also. I'd start with Garcharic Spin (chaos) and their song "MIndset" (OMV). Then anything by Lovebites (metal). This will then be a small peek at the amazing depth of the Japanese rock and metal scene. So much great music, so little time. LOL

Most of the instrumentals from band (except this one) are to provide a pee break for saiki and the names are very funny because they are private jokes about that. This was designed to start their sets in festivals and support gigs in front of people who didn't know them and perhaps thought they were babymetal.2. "From now on... know better about us.
