I was on the Dream in 2019, got my first cruise on the Breeze coming up in less than a week. Watching these videos to get prepped for being on board. Checkin goes a lot faster compared to pre COVID when it was just a mob going in all at once.
@@DaveTheGM I was really surprised how easy check in was to be honest. I’m so glad since we had never done it before. I’m happy these videos are helpful and getting you excited to be on your cruise soon! Yay!! I hope you have a wonderful cruise!
Yep! We live in Houston, so it’s an easy drive for us, which makes it so nice! We do plan on doing a Disney cruise one day from Florida though, so I’m sure that will be a bit trickier. Lol
My wife went on a cruise ship a few times with friends but this will be my 1st time. We sail out in a week. We are coming from Hawaii. And have family in baytown Texas. Looks like you guys had a great time. Were taking our son and his wife and 3 of our grandbabies. Wish me luck... Lol
@@HawaiianReloads oh wow! I am so excited for you! You will love it. So are you sailing out of Galveston or Hawaii? Sounds like a wonderful family trip and great memories on the horizon. 💜 Are sailing with Carnival cruise line?
I love cruising, going on my 11th November 26th (Carnival Magic) have been on Norwegian and Royal. My favorite cruise line is Royal Caribbean. The Norwegian Encore was beautiful as well
I can see why you love it. It’s so unique and relaxing! We definitely want to try out Royal Caribbean next. I hope you guys have an amazing time on your cruise!!
Couple of tips for new cruisers out of Galveston. Don’t put your new wine glasses on that unprotected upper shelf. The Gulf is notoriously bumpy the first day out of Galveston, and you may come back to the cabin to find broken glass on the floor. Also, the partition between the two balconies can only be opened by your room steward.
Very good tip! We did wind up moving the glasses when we thought about it.🤗 We discovered that the steward had to open the balcony partitions as well. So many new experiences and fun stuff to learn!
We are doing this exact 4 day cruise on Jan 2nd . Very excited . We did the carnival vista so I’m looking forward to seeing how the breeze compare to the vista!
Cruising is amazing!! So much fun and way more leisurely than other vacations. ❤️ We actually did order bottled water for the room that was in there when we got there. But the sparkling waters we brought because that wasn’t an option onboard.
@@SuttonStops My cruise on Carnival Breeze will be on Feb 2025. I agree with you, cruise trip must be in the bucket list. My last cruise, I went with a travel group. They included the shores excursions. That was interesting and also exhausted. Long cruise, many flights made me so tired, but I'm booking for the next cruise, now 😂 You said short drive to Galveston. I guessed you're in Houston. I'm in Fort Worth. So, it's not so bad. I will drive to the departing port this time. Happy cruising.
Deck 15. I don’t blame you. It wound up not being bad at all because that particular hot tub was only open from noon - 6pm and rarely had many people in it. And no one was loud or obnoxious. However, we might have just gotten lucky there. lol 😆
We thought the spirit package was well worth it. Especially considering the price of each beverage. Plus, we got to get specialty coffees and non-alcoholic drinks on that package as well. We never drank enough to use the entire package for the day, but it certainly saved us money. We liked the comedy show, but it did get a little too dirty at one point, so I recommend the earlier one because it’s family friendly. Also, don’t miss the stage show in the main Ovation theater. It’s awesome!!
Definitely Houston Hobby airport. It’s right off of I-45 as you head to Galveston. That’s always the best airport to choose when coming in for a cruise out of Galveston.
