We started a 6 week long road trip through New Zealand's north and south islands in the beautiful Waitakere Regional Park near Auckland, exploring the landscape and of course finding as many waterfalls as we could! We were taken back by the beautiful tropical feel of the area, the huge ferns and tree lined routes, both driving and walking around. The Karamatura Waterfall Trail was one of the first we did, a 1 hour return loop walk through lush forest to a beautiful falls.
