FYI about 60-30 days before the cruise they open shows for booking. You can book in that small window prior too. But the day of or the day after they open that it is full and then you can't book again until you get on board.
@@joshsavage9689 Oh!!! I didn't know that, that's super helpful for future bookings. I was under the impression it was only on board. Would it notify you in the app?
@@Dillon.Thomas Honestly I'm not sure it does. I just check every day from day 60 out to see if it is on the website/app. Also I join the FB group for each sailing and usually someone posts it in there too!
"This might be a little better than Golden Coral."😂 Luv it!😅 Glad you both had a great time! Sailing Allure in June. I love the Oasis class ships. Thx for sharing!
Lol some of her one liners crack me up 🤣 It was a great time, I'm sure you'll have a blast! I've done oasis and allure, I'd love to try icon or star when that comes out. But they seem expensive currently 🫠 Thanks for watching!
Loving the video, about halfway through. It’s interesting seeing the differences between this and the Disney Cruise ships and how some of the things are handled.
Appreciate it! We've been keeping our eyes peeled for potential deals on DCL. We'd love to do some cruising on their newer boats, but the price seems hefty right now. I'd still love to make it happen, maybe 2025!
Nice video! We are going on Allure in June, first cruise for my 10-year old. My wife and I’s first cruise in over 20 years. Our last cruise was an OLD RC ship called Sovereign of the Seas. This is probably the 8th video I’ve watched of Allure with room tours, and every single video has pointed out the outdated alarm clock for the old 30-pin iPod chargers! 😂. We plan to Vlog our trip but we will skip the alarm clock…haha! Our vlog niche is Mini Golf but we occasionally stray from those. Thanks for sharing!
Nice! Have fun! It's a great ship, even with some of the outdated touches. Vlogging the ships is hard, I'm so focused on central florida and pretty much theme parks. But cruising let's you stretch your imagination a bit more haha
I haven't done a cruise yet and I'm a little nervous; maybe I should start with a very short one lol. I would get lost for sure 😂. I love that you can book a cruise and just enjoy all that's included without spending any additional money unless you want to!!!! Thanks for sharing this experience!
I would definitely check it out! I think a short 3 or 4 night cruise would be your best bet to start. That's why we did a shorter one for Nicole's first, we wanted to make sure she actually liked them before considering booking anything else haha. The "all-inclusive" style on a boat is truly a nice way to vacation if you don't want to worry about spending anything else! The other nice things, those short 3-4 night trips have EVERY size ship doing those itineraries, so you can take a giant ship like we did, a medium class or a smaller one. We definitely want to try a Disney Cruise Line boat at some point, too. We'll see! ☺
@@Dillon.Thomas my daughter asked me about a Disney cruise out of nowhere lol. I'm guessing I have to look into that as well; I just imagine it being very expensive 🤦🏽.
@@lashaysmith7783 They are much more expensive from what I've seen. If you can find a good time to travel, you can save a bit of money. The one nice part about DCL, from what I've seen, when browsing their rooms and prices, you get the FINAL price there. When it comes to other cruise lines, you start to see additional charges, so if it says "$700/person" and you have 2 of you and then all of a sudden it's $2000, you don't realize how everything adds up. Where Disney might show you "$2000" but that's the final price, if that makes sense haha.
@@Dillon.Thomas makes perfect sense!!! I've noticed with Royal Caribbean the minute I hit "room type" the price goes crazy lol. I never really took the time to see what all DCL has. Do they have a waterpark like CocoCay?
@lashaysmith7783 they do not have anything close to Coco Cay. We are sailing DCL for our 3rd time in Oct and it will be our last. Their private island has a beautiful beach but so do most of the other ports. Food isn't that great either on the island. A 3 or 4 night are really short, just when you start to get the hang of the ship you're done.
Hi Dillion! Thanks so much for the video. This was very helpful!! I’ll be on this ship in about two weeks. We sail out August 5-9. It’s my first cruise so, I’m watching a lot of RU-vid videos to prepare myself for the big day🤗🤗 I also booked an interior balcony room and now I’m wishing I would’ve done the exterior ocean view😢. How were you all able to get the upgrade? Would I be able to upgrade, as well, if I ask?🤞🏾🤞🏾
@jewelz227 of course! Thanks for watching! Have fun 🎉🛳 Smart choice to watch in advance, it will help out since there's so much to do! So you can call and ask if you can upgrade, do their bid system and see if you can get it cheaper, or on the ship you can talk to guests services and if they had someone not show up or switch rooms, they find out by the end of the evening I believe and you can upgrade right there! I've had friends get awesome upgrades for very cheap with the bid system, but I think that's already passed if you're only 2 weeks out, so you can talk to them once you board to just put your name in to purchase the upgrade if there's one available! I love balconies and almost exclusively want them when we go, but sometimes you can double or triple your costs compared to other options, which is crazy!
I just booked harmony and allure OTS just because the ocean balconies were cheaper then center park and boardwalk balconies and was a little less then 2k for allure for 4 nights and just at 3.2k for harmony for 8 nights both for 2 people and was a steal! So excited for my 2 2025 cruises
Wow! 8 nights for $3200 is actually so cheap! Do you have ocean balconies for the Harmony, too?? Our Allure trip, after gratuity I think was like $1700? It was such a good deal, honestly.
@@Dillon.Thomas I do have balcony for harmony to in the back it’s so crazy cause it’s the one sailing next year that is almost 35-40% cheeper then all the other sailing plus it’s not in hurricane season it’s so surprising but I look everyday for new deals on the website and got so lucky
@CheyGrace_ That's awesome! I think we may have to look into 2025 for some of those deals, since it seems to be super affordable if you find the right time to sail! I wish the icon would get cheaper, maybe Star will be less, or we can hope 😅
@@Dillon.Thomas hahahaha that’s why I’m excited for utopia itll be short since they’re only 4 nights but it’ll give a good idea without spending 7-8nights Incase I don’t like it. It’ll be my tester cruise for icon and star even though I like them in theory just not in my means loll
@@Dillon.Thomas cruising is so much fun! Also, I was mentioning you to my brother today and apparently you and him know each other well! I am Paul’s older brother 😂 It’s a small world after all 😂
@rowe5family919 I was reading that from someone else, super cool! I think back on my first trips on the oasis class many years ago it was paid, but I'm glad it's free!
If you have the drink package you can get specialty coffee (it is starbucks brand) you get it at the coffee shop next to the pizza not at the actual starbucks shop they have.
I have a question; for the restaurants that we have to pay “ Extra “ for that’s not included, is the money that we paid is just for ONE MEAL ? Or we can order unlimited?
I'm not 100% certain on the extra paid dining experiences, but most of the ones I saw were prix fixe menus. So you pay the price, and then you pick items from their options that they offer. Hope that helps!
Great question! So the ship is very much alive even early in the morning, so you can explore the ship just to get a lay of the land if you'd like. But also, bars and food options are available to go hangout at. You can basically start your vacation the second you get on the boat! There are some things that aren't working yet, like the casino is one I know immediately. But overall, it let's you explore, and utilize things like the pool, food, etc immediately! Just make sure to pack your swimsuit on your person, since otherwise it'll be locked in your suitcase till it's delivered haha 😅
@@jbanthony3498 we went about 30 minutes early or so, but we had such a late time. I imagine earlier times aren't as easy to get an earlier check-in since it's so busy
Hey great questions! Firstly, a lot of the food on the ship is included. This is mostly quick eats, like sandwiches, pizza, and then the windjammer buffet, etc. Also every night, you'll have a meal in the main dining hall if you'd like (also included). If there's any questions on what IS vs ISN'T included, you can always ask an employee once on the ship or talk with royal directly. Most of the time, all of the sit down restaurants around the ship are additional dining (you have to pay extra). But you can also buy a plan that includes those extra options. Again, though, there's SOOOO many free options on the ship already, you just have to make that decision for yourself. As for drinks, you get complimentary juices, teas and coffee at your dining experiences. However, if you want soda, you'll need to pay for a soda package, and then from there you can get extra benefits with higher tiers of the "drink packages". So the lowest tier is just the soda package, where the highest tier of the drink package would include everything from the tiers underneath + alcohol. So if you plan on drinking a lot, I would explore the alcohol package. All of that can be seen in your hub in the app or on the site. I hope that helps!
This is better than Golden Corral!!! 😂😂😂😂 I’m cracking up! I just love you guys! Your soft spoken voices make it so relaxing and enjoyable. Some vloggers are just too much!! lol Hopefully some day I will get to cruise!! I’m a little behind on videos but catching up today . Home sick😢. Three weeks now! Kicking our butts ! Nice to have an outlet during this difficult time! ❤ Happy spring! Looking forward to more content! Thanks again for always sharing!!
Lol I got a good laugh out of that! Haha 🤣 Thanks for the support! I'm sorry you're having such a rough outing, I feel like there's been so much random crud floating around this year, it feels like someone's sick every other week. It stinks! Hopefully things get better, I'm glad you enjoy the videos regardless! Happy spring! We have more sun now too 🌞
Very, very cool. I have always had great time on RC, and take them regularly. There food choices are great and can't say I have ever had an problems in terms of bad food. Yea, the bathrooms are definitely small - especially the shower! That wasn't such a bad room though - and you figure how much time - other than sleeping - are you going to spend in the room. Surprised at the cushion, wasn't terrible, ut RC is usually quite diligent in cleaning. They have definitely toned down the muster drills! We used to put on vests, etc. VERY VERY cool for the free upgrade! That's awesome. Agreed -the best part of crusing is THE FOOD!!! LOL. The last 7 day cruise, I gained 10 pounds - ha - but I took it right off. Cruise calories don't count - only after the cruise is over! I booked a cruise on the Disney Treasure for early next year, so really looking forward to that adventure. Great video - looking forward to seeing more. Be well!
Royal has never really disappointed me, outside of one incident that pops up here in one of the next videos, it's been really good. Their food feels like it's SLIGHTLY worse than what it was years ago, but still quite good. It wasn't horribly stained, but certainly a sign of wear on it. Also, those muster drills... LITERALLY a minute long now and no crazy drills. It's so weird to me haha. We LOVEDDD the ocean view balcony, it was such a treat. I've done them most of our cruises, but we just went with any balcony, which I know is 99% of the time going to be interior if they offer that haha. I thought MAYBE we'd luck out and get an ocean view. We did a small amount to see if we could bid for it, which in hindsight I feel is like JUST as much really? Not sure. Sometimes it's just weird. You can kind of get nickel and dimed with all the small add-ons lol. Calories don't count on a cruise, ever lol. I did put on a few lbs lol, but I'm working to take them off haha. It's dangerous. Have you done a Disney cruise yet? I've heard amazing things about them, but they're certainly a bit pricier than the other options out there. Royal even feels decently expensive, but I feel like Disney feels like almost double the price. I haven't found almost any 4 night cruises with a balcony under like ~$3800, which is more than double what we paid for our RC balcony. I do like that Disney shows you like the FINAL price, and not a "potential" which is great for planning and browsing. I appreciate it the kind words as always! In the works of getting the other videos edited haha.
@@Dillon.Thomas The Treasure will be my first Disney cruise. Being an adult, I've been hesitant to go on a Disney cruise without family (it just seems weird to me) but finally there will be family there so I decided to go with. Definitely more expensive than other cruise lines, bordering on the ridiculous. I've only heard great things about their cruises though, so I am looking forward to it. Yes, the cruise is almost double what I would normally pay - I could probably do two RC cruises for the price of Disney - but have to do it at least once. Take care.
@@Sir-Ray Super jealous about the Treasure booking! Have fun! I did hear they tuned the Wish to be very adult oriented in many more ways, so maybe Treasure will do the same? I felt the same way, more reluctant to do it because I wasn't sure if no family/kids would be too weird, however, I go to the parks all of the time and I imagine it will feel the same. But I have heard fantastic things about DCL for awhile now as well, so I think it'll be a good choice. I've heard you can find incredible deals on rooms, but I have yet to find those, going to keep my eye out, though!
We did our first cruise last year on Oasis, it was fantastic my son enjoyed the water slides and Abyss which Allure doesn’t have we booked Utopia of the seas for 2025
I was pretty upset that the ONLY Oasis class ship to not have the slides is the Allure lol. I didn't realize right away. I think we bring it up in one of the future videos from the cruise. Super jealous about the Utopia booking you have, though! I'd love to try the Icon, but they seemed to have inflated the prices a lot right now. 🙁
@@Dillon.Thomas It's confirmed amplification is coming. Royal Carribean CEO said, and expected schedule dry dock is early 2025. I heard it's going to take the things they put on amplified oasis and new things from Icon.
