Our boy @Mairaj Arif made his pro debut and achieved a remarkable win against all odds, despite battling a spasm injury and accepting the fight on just 20 days' notice. He faced a more experienced opponent with numerous pro fights, yet Mairaj emerged victorious. Sadly, not everyone of our people cheered for us-some looked jealous. Mairaj's win felt like a direct response to so many injustices and inequalities that happened in our boys' fights throughout times. The disappointment came when Mairaj's fight, the only pro fight in the event, wasn't featured on the main card instead, they highlighted amateur fights. We didn't receive the coverage we deserved, no trophy, medal, or money. They even awarded the belts to the amateur main event. Despite it all, we're still happy for everyone involved.
