Guys, I’m so glad you are on Royal. For some reason this cruise line fascinates me; I like watching vlogs on their ships. I’m rather perturbed it took almost 5 minutes into the video before the first cocktails appeared 🍸🤣

It certainly surprised us! It was fantastic! We’re making a point of trying a few new cruise lines in the next few years so that we can draw comparisons between brands/lines. Have to say though at the moment RCI really impressed us and we couldn’t fault it 👌🏻
The ship is lovely we have sailed on sister Ovation of the Seas many times including 2 voyages Singapore to Sydney. Ovation is on her way across the Pacific to home Port once again in Sydney in fact 5 ships are on their way we are so happy. Look forward to more episodes on your travels on the Ovation in December. Hahaha! Well when you’re on holiday you have to enjoy it! The drinks package is really good to be fair, unlimited amounts of drinks and they taste good too!

I absolutely love how excited you guys are and enthusiastic. I doubt I could keep up with you on the beverages though, and that from a Scotsman LOL. I definitely think I would need Detox when I got home from a Cruise. Might even make th e/husband divorce me lol, he's T total and Im a Lush LOL OOH Escargot, I love Escargot in Garlic Butter, I used to work in a French Restaurant in Hong Kong and It was my job to make the starters, I loved escargot. YUM. That's just sold me on an RCI cruise lol

Never been on Anthem of seas very new to cruises but want to try them all. Now that I watch you guys, have booked Italy next June on the Azura, MSC also looks fab. Keep them coming really inspiring. You always have great time. Thankyou for all tips love them.

Wow seems you’ve got the cruising bug before you’ve even sailed! 😂 What you’ll find is that there’s a cruise line out there for everyone or every occasion, they all have different vibes and facilities onboard so it’s always worth bearing that in mind- no two cruise lines are the same, sometimes similar but never the same. It’s all about making the most of it, enjoying every moment and I feel so lucky and privileged to be able to cruise as often as we do! Azura is a lovely ship been a while since we were on her but we had a great time!

Glad you enjoyed. It's a fabulous ship! The package is extra - it is normally quite expensive, around the £60pppd mark, but if you sail on the UK ones next year, you can get the package for £43pppd - this isn't available online you either have to ring RC up if you booked with them or get your travel agent to book it (the cruise is usually cheaper booking via an agent too!). This year it was £40pppd and covered drinks up to $14 (so is goo value if you like more than 4 drinks!)

Dogems are free 🥳 Northstar is free on port days and each guest gets 1 min free on ripcord by ifly. Flow rider and rock climbing free too . Like all cruises, speciality dining and drinks are the main costs :) hope that helps :)
Great first day. How long does it take to get to the Caribbean? Lots of sea days there and back, so do you get a week in the Caribbean? I’ve never had snails but they do look tempting, it’s just the thought of eating actual snails 🐌. Must try them

Hi I'm due to board Anthem on the 28th May. I have opted not to pre-pay gratuities. I have heard its best to pay prior to cruise ? Otherwise it will be a shock when you get your final cruise bill. Do you know or have heard whether gratuities are just by choice ? Regards Therese
We pre paid before our cruise too, that way you know it’s taken care of. For anytime dining I think we had to pre pay. You may be able to remove them if service is not up to standard, but you’d need to talk to reception.
Hi guys!!! Just a question around tipping and gratuity. Ive seen on some vlogs (mainly US) that mentioned gratuity is charged at the end of your holidah by means of a bill at the end of your trip. Is this the case with european cruises ? How much is it per day ? Thankyou in advance !!!! X
Hi! We pre paid ours when we booked the cruise with the travel agent, so we had no need to tip any extra onboard. If you’ve not pre paid, a daily charge will be added to your bill when you get at the end of the cruise. It’s $18 USD per person per day (everyone in the room is charged it). If you don’t have a drinks packages, 18% is also added to drinks you purchase. You can go to guest services to increase, decrease or remove the charge. I've been stressing about all the additional costs I'm finding there are since booking online ..... As a first time cruiser , I'm beginning to regret the booking 😞😞
Lots included - main dining, buffet (windjammer), bistro area in solarium, pizza in Sorentos, Doghouse hot dogs and snacks in cafe Promenade. You don’t need to pay extra but we did do the dining packages which was Jamie’s, Wonderland and Chops Grille.
@williampearson7186 we did, for us RC had a deal on for Southampton cruises. Keep an eye on the app/website as prices go up and down, it’s cheaper to buy before you go.
Oh yes! RC had a deal for European cruises, if you rang them up or your agent, you could book it for £40 per person per day, which was a huge saving as online it was around $70pppd. Great value and they are doing the same next year for Anthem (slight increase to £43).

That’s such a shame, there are plenty of other creators out there we’re not for everyone and we’re not changing who we are either. We have a following for being ourselves and enjoying our cruises.
You guys are adorable! I really enjoyed your video. We have never sailed anyone but Carnival but we're looking at an itinerary to Portugal/Spain for 2024 and I'm trying to learn everything I can about this ship. The only thing I'm having a hard time finding out is where there are sports shown on TV? My husband likes football, baseball, and American football. This cruise doesn't appear to have any sort of sports bar. Do they show sports at the British Pub?
Aww thank you! We would love to try Carnival, especially the new ships. We were supposed to go to tour Celebration the other week but covid put a stop to it :( Anyhow, Anthem is lovely! Yes, we think there was sports on in the pub, you may also see it on the Sea Screen outside. What we would suggest is if you know there are particular games you want to see, pop to guest services or try and speak to the entertainment team - we find on most cruises if there is demand for a particular game, they will show it. But yes, you are correct, no sports bar as such on Anthem.
We loved our trip on Anthem to the Fjords. Great to experience the sail up the Nordfjord to Olden and view the amazing views from the bridge wings at 6am! 😵💫Sailing on her again next August 🛳️⚓
