Short History of SACCONEJOLYs
In 2008 Anna was uploading beauty videos to youtube on her own channel and Jonathan was helping her behind the scenes.
In late 2009 Jonathan set up this channel because he wanted to do his own youtube videos. What started out as a week experiment to film his life everyday for 7 days in a row has now become SACCONEJOLYS
this channel was formally known as LeFloofTV but was later changed to SACCONEJOLYs
When Jonathan Joly married Anna Saccone they both decided that instead of Anna dropping her family name they would both take each others name and join them together.
They choose to use SACCONEJOLY rather then JOLYSACCONE simply because it sounded better.
Jonathan and Anna Saccone Joly have four children, Emilia Saccone Joly, Eduardo Saccone Joly, Alessia Saccone Joly and Andrea Saccone Joly they also have six maltese dogs, Albi, Sina, Theo, Bianca, Nivea and Nuvola.
They moved from Ireland to the UK in 2014.

Having siblings prepares you for the world, as there are much much bigger, more horrible, and scarier people in the world than the people who love you the most. I use Ocado and when looking into the carrier bag situation they advise the bags are unbleached so they are easier to recycle and they are also recycled in the U.K as 80% of plastic waste is flown abroad to recycle! 😯 so they are trying. I actually miss the separate shops fruit shop , butcher etc plus local high streets looked much better. Great vlog as always ❤️ x

Now to combat the plastic issue we go to the store ourselves and buy the fruits and vegetables individually and either put them in small reusable bags or not in bags at all and they are just loose. You can still buy them in packs in plastic but it’s actually cheaper to buy them individually. We can also buy dry goods in most grocery stores from bins that we put in mason jars, like rice, oats and beans. It’s pretty easy to get rid of most plastics if you think about it.

Anna, Have Edwardo memorize it in a rhythm form. Like this for instance: -Korean people have Tkok (rice cakes) -Mad with the newly harvested rice -and freshly picked fruit -.....etc. Also, show him some videos on Coosuk so he have a visual and basic understanding of what he's speaking of.

You could easily make different lifestyle choices to avoid all the plastic, shop from the loose fruit and veg section or farm shops and take your own brown paper bags, get your meat from the deli counter where they wrap in paper. Order milk and juice from farmers where they arrive in glass bottles, and when your done with them they’ll take them away, clean and reuse them. Buy your bread from the bakery. May cost a little more, but if you can afford it then why not. When ordering online there should be a bag less option too (there is for Tesco and Asda) x

There are local farmers and market farmers who offer weekly deliveries of vegetables and things. I'm sure they would be fairly easy to find in your area. And the veg is likely organic too. You can also find locally sourced meats who deliver. If you do find them and like them, I'm sure people would really appreciate recommendations. Also just making the conscious effort to support eco-friendly brands and brands and stores that are making the effort to be more sustainable. On top of that making the effort to take a reusable shopping bag into the store with you whenever you go shopping. I keep a basket in my car that is overflowing with reusable bags, so I can just reach back and grab them.

To cut down on plastic, you should avoid shopping in big supermarkets. Try buying fruit and veg from a farmer's market or use one of those services that deliver fruit and veg baskets every week. Every little helps - buying seasonally, buying local produce and buying less meat are little ways we can lessen our carbon footprint.

It’s so hard when the little ones are sick, I used to vacillate between feeling sorry for them and wanting to pull my hair out knowing I had had days ahead to catch up to all the laundry and cleaning ! I hope your family gets well soon. Andrea and Alessia are growing so quickly !

For families that live nearby a High Street a lot of the time there are butchers greengrocers which sell fruits and vegetables . I know that where I live there is a high street where we can go with our own containers and our own and bag for fruit and veg and meat but a lot of the time it does take longer which is probably why Anna uses Acado as if she did it all through the high street whilst it may cut down on plastic it will take longer and sometimes is more expensive and I think that’s where the big issue is its that a low plastic/ low packaging online shop isn’t very well known and affordable and may not be nation wide like many online shopping deliveries are . With 4 kids I understand why Anna gets her shopping done online, it’s just a shame that more of her produce can’t be delivered in less packaging. Lovely video as always! Xx

Love you guys for talking about being more environmentally conscious in this episode! Also, I’ve noticed the UK individually wraps everything 😳 I’m sure getting your groceries delivered saves you all time, but I think going to the grocery store cuts down on plastic. Such as picking out your own produce (bringing and using reusable produce bags) and then going to the meat counter where you can get your chicken, steak, fish, etc. wrapped in paper. I think going to the grocery store cuts down on individually wrapped plastic items a decent amount. At least it does in the U.S.

Choosuk, Korean Thanksgiving day, is our traditional holiday and we usually eat Song-pyeon(=Tteok, rice cake) and many delicious foods with family. The worse was when I had my oldest in the top bunk , the next oldest in the bottom bunk, They both got sick, big mess, then I was pregnant and made it a bigger mess. Thankfully, I managed to clean it up. That's the way we lived on the farm. We grew our own fruits and veggies, we had chickens for eggs and then for dinner when the eggs stopped. We raised pigs and bought a cow. That was life on the farm.

It’s interesting to see the names of the different products you use that are the same as what we have in our country but the brand name and packaging is a bit different. The unstoppables are made by Downy and the Cottonelle toilet paper has different packaging. What is vanish? And what type of laundry detergent do you use?
