Chiapas and Tabasco during Meso America and for over 300 hundred years before independence were part of Guatemala (Kingdom Of Guatemala) plus thr Maya Mam nation is bi national and their language and culture spreads over chiapas and western Guatemala so most main cultural, historical and traditional elements are shared around this highlands area of Mexico and Guatemala.
