Nicely done video!!very informative..and by the way that guy at the beginning was trying to explain that El Salvador is known as “El Pulgarcito de America”it means the little thumb of America because it is the smallest mainland country in all of the Americas..
Loved the video, would of loved a mini series with like 3 or 4 videos. You went to the capital, the Santa Ana cathedral is world renowned. There's the beaches and lakes, natural hot springs and so much more! Please do go back, maybe contact Salvadoran youtubers who speak English like Jewels
I’m a Salvadoran currently living in Ireland and watching you guys eating those pupusas makes me feel so hungry! You have no idea of how much I miss all the Salvadoran gastronomy :( I just started with this video and noticed you have more from your travel to El Salvador which I will continue watching now!
Thank you so much! :) We appreciate it. We have fallen in love with the gastronomy here! So delicious. Are there any Salvadoran restaurants in Ireland?
How did you end up in Ireland? That's pretty uncommon, we usually receive immigrants from Poland, Lithuania, The UK and other EU nationals, Brazilians are the most common South Americans I believe (I could be wrong) May I ask what you think about Ireland and what county you live in? I'm guessing Galway, Dublin, Limerick or Cork.
@@Anonymoose66G I came to Ireland to study English initially, while I was here, we as students are allowed to work part time, so I started working as a healthcare assistant, to be honest I love Ireland, because of its culture, people, and traditions, even the weather haha so I’m really happy to be here and work in something that Im able to help the community, I hope that answers your question haha and I am living in Drogheda by the way
Iglesia el rosario was built in a architectural style called "Brutalist architecture" which is characterized for showcasing the concrete structure and metal structure exposed as its major attraction. That's why it looks like that from the outside and inside. The interior is so beautiful.
Also, during the civil war the National Guard used it as a vantage point to shoot guerrilla rebels. Only thing is, they ended shooting innocent civilians... On purpose...Yep.
I served a mission for my church in El Salvador from 2010-2012. I can tell you know that the country is so much safer. I saw dead bodies in the street. People had rent out on their life. I had friends murdered in Cold blood. I am so glad to see where they are now. Will visit soon!
Min 4:50 “el pulgarcito de América” “the little thumb of America” it’s how El Salvador is affectionally called due to being the smallest country in America. FYI, the chicharrón for pupusas is not made from pork rinds, it’s made from fried pork meat (generally butt or shoulder), onions, tomatoes and bell peppers, all those ingredients are blended in a meat grinder or food processor to make the chicharrón. Thanks for the video and enjoy your stay!
Sean más que bienvenidos a nuestro pequeño pero hermoso país, donde ustedes se sentirán más que seguros donde sea que vayan, I really appreciate your support, visiting our country, thank you so much. Enjoy the journey.
My mom is from El Salvador and had to leave during the Civil War- sadly I haven't had a chance to visit yet but your videos are so much fun to watch!! My dad is from Guatemala and I watched all your Guatemala videos before I visited for the first time this year lol.
Oh WOW That is so amazing 😊 It makes us so happy to know you enjoyed the videos and we happened to go to both countries your parents are from! I think its an excellent time to visit El Salvador, I hope you get to visit soon :)
My father is from El Salvador, he came to chicago during the civil war when he was 15. That side of my family have recently started going to visit more often since it's become safer. Because of all the violence I had always said that I would never see my father's country. However I am definitely planning to go now! I hope you get to as well!
Hello Guys , I from El Salvador 🇸🇻 but I living in Downey California. Thanks for share this beautiful story and video too . Hopefully enjoy your visit to El Salvador 🇸🇻. Thanks again guys !!!
Honestly i’m not sure since i’m with andrew the whole time! i don’t see why not… but we haven’t walked too far! most places here are not very walkable tbh Everyone has been very kind and i have not been catcalled if that helps :)
thank you for the reply so do you just take taxis everywhere? is it easy to get? what about travelling from San Sal to Santa Ann and suchitoto for example, taking buses during the day is it safe? @@JourneywithJenandDrew
@write2yibo I'm sorry! I am just seeing this reply! We took ubers around San Salvador and Santa Ana just because they are so large and not always walkable! But we take buses between towns. We also just walk everywhere in the ruta de flores towns and beach towns.
