Adventure maps in 2023 feels like a fever dream!! I still use the resource packs they used back then!

This was my reaction! Those were my favorite smoke and chill videos. Somehow the smoking feels like a lifetime ago, but the video feels like yesterday.

Yeah I feel old now.....

The crazy thing is I knew it was eleven years as that was before I graduated from high school. That was so long ago.

tbh they've got enough fresh members who take a lot of initiative, like Ped, Harry, Boba or Spiff. It wouldn't even be that hard if they could find a way to make content that's popular on modern youtube, like Harry basically revived Duncan's channel by bringing Vault Hunters to it. I'm not saying that it's 'bad' or 'boring', but my sense is that the older Yogs aren't really interested in trying out new things. They each have a certain type of content which they like making, and their core audience likes watching. God knows i was pretty comfortable watching TTT everyday for 7 years. But for the Golden Age type popularity, they'd have to do new things. Radical things, which attract a large audience which stays engaged and keeps things interesting. Besides Spiff and Harry (who only streams), not a single Yogs seems particularly keen to do something like that. Some, like Tom, actually want to do even more niche content from now on. Just saying how it is. The Golden Age happened because the Yogscast collectively kept making the kind of content that was wildly popular and kept innovating. They were able to generate enough revenue that made it worth doing, and got sponsored to make it. But you can't expect the same people to keep doing that for a decade. So, if anything, it'll probably be the new members who will do it, if it ever happens.

@@hunterbrowning4228 nah that’s too on the nose maybe like a Tea factory and spiffing Brit runs it with P flax and spiff focuses on profit and tea while the dastardly devious P Flax makes schemes and traps for our “Hero’s”

​@luxinvictus9018 this is it. The Yogscast as an entire entity is primed to be successful but all of the old guard have no interest in playing the popularity game and lots of new members just want to stream in their own little corner of the Internet.

Honestly, I think this would be a great format! But not just for Boba- have one day a week where the video is decided by a different Yog, and then if there's more episodes it continues on their channel maybe? It'd be fun to give people a chance to do silly ideas whilst also not detracting too much from the main content

It was actually amazingly fast-witted, I spat out my tea almost as hard as the Bin Chute episode of Tekkit

It isn't, actually, despite what the video title says. A dropper map was _first_ played 11 years ago, but others were played more recently (albeit still a few years ago, now).
