Sean Payton has had enough of the Denver Broncos, and former Rams MLB Daniel Levy has taken over as the new head coach. This Denver team is one of the worst in the NFL, but certain players like Pat Surtain II and Bo Nix indicate a bright future for the franchise. Join Coach Levy on the journey as we attempt to revive the Denver Broncos into a new football powerhouse in this Franchise Rebuild series.

Shout-out to you man I love the way you do franchise, you don't manipulate the CPU with trades or cheesing the draft class and you let the game tell your story and I love it. Saw you dropped the 2k start for this year as well I'm gonna get to that after football today but I just wanna tell you keep it up, you are without a doubt the best franchise guy right now.

strange to see very solid head coaches as options for oc and dc positions

Greg Cooks is nearly an exact copy of my Brandon Ford! Looks are similar, stats are similar. The only noticeable difference between Ford and Cooks is spin move. Add about 8 more points to Cooks' spin move, +4 agility, +1strength, +6 in all receiving stats (60s) and -1 year to his age and they would be nearly identical. Note, wherein 22-y/o Cooks is a 75OR Normal Dev, Ford was 21-y/o and a 76OR Hidden Dev (Star), who ended up as a 78OR by the end of the pre-season. Ford was our 3rd round pick too, in our first year in our new city. I wish I could remember the original name of Brandon Ford, before I changed it. Besides the name, I also changed his number. I believe the old number was 35, if I remember correctly. It was changed to Barry Sanders' #20 originally, but opted for #28 after seeing him play in the pre-season. Although I see the elite movement and agility skills of Barry Sanders, I also see the power and trucking ability of an Adrian Peterson or Marshall Faulk. His running style is elusive, with power a close 2nd. Given his receiving skills are a bit on the low side, I made sure to pop a few of his upgrade points in that area (which can also give a chance to help his speed, accel and agility). By the start of his 2nd season, he achieved X-Factor status, having boosted his development twice in his rookie year. The first time he achieved his "breakout" moment by rushing for 3 TDs (and 150+ yards). The 2nd time was by having the 2nd best rushing stats in the league and winning RotY. Seriously focus on this guy. Jump in to help him with an advancement opportunity, at least once. I have played Madden since Madden 2003, in all that time, Brandon Ford is - by far - the best unaltered HB I have ever seen! You may have just drafted his clone! (PS... Just to make sure I am understood, "unaltered," means his skills were not edited. NOTE: Although I edited his name, team # and some small tweaks were done to his uniform, his skills and abilities were not touched.) I knew Ford was going to be something special as soon as I saw his 1st pre-season game, as the back-up to Damien Harris. After that 1st game, I popped him immediately to 1st string for game 2. He's never come close to losing his starting job since. Please note, IRL, the only NFL player - in the history of the NFL - to average more than 100 yards per game for an entire season was Barry Sanders. In fact, his lifetime average is 99.8 yards per game. In season 3 (2nd year in Toronto), Ford's 2nd year, he averaged 101.4 yards/game and won best RB. If he wasn't already a superstar, he would have been then. It is now pre-season of his 3rd year and he's currently a 95OR X-Factor. As I said previously, Cooks might be his clone! Focus on him! Do not have him on the bench for an entire game (unless he's hurt).

On a side note, something I found a little funny was the last draft I had with my team. In the 2nd round, we drafted our new FS, Quincy Barber. I wonder if he is any relation to your 2nd round (SS->FS) pick, Jameel Barber? I was looking to find a reincarnation of Ronnie Lott... Hopefully both of our Barber's turn out to be just that!

Forgive me, I seem to remember something new and come back to post again... FREE AGENTS ! You just had your draft. Many players went undrafted. Some of those players may have been decent, worthwhile players. Some may even have hidden development traits. You currently have a 67OR LE. Check your FA list for "practice squad eligible" players and find a new LE. If you do not see one you like, check RE (be sure to check their stats, as your RE system match may not necessarily be your LE system match. EX. If your RE scheme fit is a run stopper and your LE is a speed rusher and you see a decent speed rushing RE ... guess who may be a great candidate for your new LE!). Also check fast DTs and big OLBs. A DT with 91 speed? Switch him to DE immediately! A 6'5", 254 lb, run stopping or pass rushing LOLB/ROLB? This may be another great scheme fit LE. In my last draft, the FA list gave me my future #2 QB and future starting RG. 1. Josh Thomas. A 21 y/o, 64OR, improvising QB with 90 THP. My current QB core are 30 & 31 y/o. respectively. I expect my current #2 will retire within the next year or two. If I give a little effort into training up Thomas, he could EASILY take over the #2 spot by as early as next season. 2. Antonio Bennett. A 22 y/o, 73 OR, HIDDEN DEV, Agile RG, with 91 strength. He will be 2nd string this year and will be one of my focus players in every practice. This is usually a good idea for O-line players as they seem to level the slowest of all positions. Doing this, after just one pre-season game and practice, he was able to upgrade to a 74 OR. My current RG is my weakest O-line starter. He was a 77 OR at the start of last season and only a 78 at the start of this season. In other words, he's not really progressing. It is fully possible Antonio Bennett will be my starting RG before the end of the season. As for his hidden development trait... I don't know, I haven't looked. I'm expecting star, but you never know. One other tiny piece of advice... When in doubt, ALWAYS go for physical attributes over skill. You can teach how to catch, how to throw, how to block, etc. You can't teach speed, accel, agility or strength.

You might need a backup QB. I’d suggest grabbing one in FA
