Arches is just gorgeous and it looks like getting up early was worth it! Certainly not the crowds I've been seeing in other Arches videos lately. Plus that lighting...! 😲
The mid-day crowds there are crazy! We lucked out by being able to mostly escape them. They even closed the park multiple times during our two weeks in the area because it was full!
I love all your videos. Your casual approach is very appealing. No macho attitude. Honest reporting of the thrills and hardships, even admitting when it was more than you reckoned. Gives confidence that us mere mortals that we can do these hikes too. Bonus - useful information of trail lengths and difficulties, including images of trail signs. Keep it up. You two are blessed to have each other to share your adventures. I’m envious.
It was a blast from our past seeing this park through your eyes, again. It is gorgeous in a unique way, maybe due to the colors, although all the Nat'l Parks are beautiful. I have a treasure trove of great photos from here, Canyonland, and Dead Horse Point State Park, this latter being wrongly overlooked by many. Thanks for another heart-warming video, A&K!
Wow thanks for another insanely awesome video. I loved the delicate arch but am particularly fascinated by those park avenue cliffs and wonder how they got to be formed like that, just incredible. Take care. Safe travels.
We LOVED those cliffs! The geology behind the park is super interesting! We were going to explain it, but we struggled to figure out how to not spend 10 minutes doing a science lesson haha
From last 2months I got craving for Arches Canyon, couldn't make it b'coz of his work pressure. You guys give me some relief by publishing this video. We visited Arches on 2019; just amazing. Happy Travelling
That looked like one FUN day!! You guys are so smart about getting out there in the early morning and catching those warm rays of sun, and missing the crowds. Your photography is just outstanding. I'm envious.
Arches is a special place. Got to visit for 2 days about 3 years ago. Did not have time to get out to Delicate Arch so that is one I have to see next visit. Thanks for sharing. Safe travels.
Oh. My. Word!!!! This is one of my favorite parks ever and I haven't been there yet except through this vlog. I just was in awe of all the amazing arches!!! Thanks so much for sharing this! You have made this a very good Thursday indeed!
As always love your videos. We will be staying in Moab for 5 days this summer, the information you provide in the video and comments will be very helpful. THANK YOU!!!
Ok, that's it. I MUST go there. It's just totally on another level. Beautiful and Spiritual. Also: "slangry?!?"...never heard that one before but it made me LOL.
We also did this at sunrise and the views are amazing, I know we'll go back. If you're fairly sure you're only going to do this once in your lifetime I'd go at sunset instead of sunrise for the best golden hour light on the arch.
I usually go to Southern Utah this time of year but I planned a trip to Glacier for this summer instead. Your videos are filling the void but also giving me nostalgia induced jealousy 😅
Ahhh!!! You bring so many memories with this video. We visited Arches NP last October. We are not spring chickens anymore, so it took us a long time to get to Delicate Arch, but it was worth all the effort and getting there before sunrise. What a magnificent place! Excellent video!
Beautiful hikes to magnificent places. Arches National Park holds so many surprises. The crowds seemed to be light 🤔 The hikes looked very peaceful. Loved loved this video 🤗 💙💜
The park closes almost everyday at least once this time of year...they didn't used to really count the visitors, but now they have a system where they radio in parking lot counts and then close and reopen based on that...the crowding inside the park is actually much less than it used to be.
You sure had a full day! It's amazing what you pack into 1 day! My "likes" at Arches are Park Avenue, Fiery Furnace and hiking/walking up the steep sandstone after Landscape Arch to get to Double O Arch. The last time we were in the area 2 years ago, we did a couple of jeep trails, one of them being the Shafer Trail - super fun! Can't wait to watch your next video!
We even had a 3-4 hour break too! Arches was nice because nothing was too long and it’s relatively compact! We wish we could’ve done the fiery furnace but it was closed 😫. The Devils Garden trail is amazing though! Renting Jeep’s sounds super fun!
Loved it! We leave in 2 weeks and can't wait to see some of the spots you highlighted especially Delicate Arch and Double Arch. You always showcase the hikes so well in your videos.
I live in Utah any have been to Moab and Arches several times. However, I had never been to Delicate Arch. So on my 60th birthday I made my family hike to it. It was a great experience. My favorite hike is the windows hikes. There are so many arches in that area and the double arch is breathtaking. Also, my grandchildren loved sand dune arch and some climbed on top so not to let them out do me I had to climb up also. Up was not bad but at 60 coming down got a little scary. But I’m the cool grandpa to my grandkids. Love your videos and the energy they have.
How special that you finally got to visit Delicate Arch for your birthday! And we really enjoyed the Windows area, the scenery in that small region is amazing!
Are you sure you are on planet earth?🤣 Again another spectacular video, which I continue to rewind and pause. Unbelievable beauty! Thank you so much for taking us along! ~Cara 😊
I’ve been doing a lot of video research for upcoming trip cross country Boston to Vegas and back, hitting as many National Parks as we can. Your videos are not only the best I’ve found, pictures, information, and more importantly, u guys look like your having a blast together. Thanks.
Thanks so much for sharing your grand adventures. Your videos are a GREAT resource to those planning their next adventures. ;) I am taking my Mom and Dad on a trip next year to celebrate their 38 years of marriage as well as Dad's 70th and Mom's 65th. Curious as to do-able, easy to moderate hiking in Arches Park and what you can see. Thanks for much in advance!
We are really enjoying your videos, the footage is excellent. Thanks for all the extra effort to make it look so fantastic. We are really enjoying the most recent set of videos as we lived in the four corners areas for so long. Keep up the great work!
After seeing a bunch of arches across Utah the last 2 weeks. I have to agree 👍 💯 percent with you guys Delicate Arch is bucket 🪣 list item for sure. When I came around the last corner on the narrow trail and first see it, it was just a surreal moment, didn't expect it to be so beautiful 😍. I stayed there 90mins myself !
Every time we plan to go somewhere we always check your channel. We're going to visit Zion, Bryce and Horseshoe/Antelope next month and I already watched your videos multiple times. Thanks for giving me an inspiration to get up and explore the beauty of this country. Keep on showing the world your adventures. Great job and God Bless.
Just another super-cool day of adventure! Everything looks awesome; can't wait to see it oneday. And i LOVE curry so there's no chance it would have made it on film for me either.... just eat!!! lol
Just drove from Michigan to the coast of California and Oregon and back in 23 days and your videos were super helpful all along the way for cool stuff to do. Thank you very much:)
Thanks for taking me along on your trek through Arches. I was there a few years ago and was overwhelmed by the beauty and uniqueness of this park. I was able to catch sunset at delicate arch so it was nice to see sunrise. You two are a natural behind the camera. Keep up the great videos as I see more subscribers in your future.:)
Wow 😱😱 !! , Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was filmed here 📽️....right sir ? You guys are awesome 😎. I am big fan of Aerial America of Smithsonian channel but vlogs have their own beautiful charm. Thanks for showing this. 🙏🏻
Amazing vlog…you two do such an awesome job and the music was great…at one point I noticed the tone changed right when a different arch appeared…really cool…maybe a coincidence but so cool! So dang gorgeous there! I also loved Adam’s introduction to performing…can’t wait to see him perform in a couple vlogs! 😂
Hello Adventurers😊😊, OK so you have explored Zion, Bryce, Capital Reef, Canyonlands, and Arches...all of the BIG 5 Park's! I can't wait to see what's next!
I totally feel you about the mineral sunscreen! I wore it on vacation and couldn’t believe what I looked like in the pictures but I didn’t get burnt! I ordered some new sunscreen from Amazon Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen to try because it supposed to be completely invisible!
Ooo let us know how you like it! As soon as we get through this bottle we definitely want to try another kind! We will say, so far we haven't really gotten burnt either (minus just poor application in some areas)!
We’re setting up a honeymoon back up plan (just in case international travel is looking bleak) of Arizona and Utah - these videos have been so helpful!! It’s almost making us want to switch this to our first option!
@@AdventuresofAplusK we’re hoping to go to the Greek islands! We’re still just under a year out from the wedding, but we’re big planners so we want to cover all of our bases haha
Arches is the best of the 5 parks in Utah, IMHO. I love the way everything glows orange at sunset, it's just stunning. Capitol Reef is the most underrated, I went back last March and drove down Notom Rd through the Waterpocket Fold, up the Burr Trail switchbacks and over to Boulder. Had the road to ourselves for 40+ miles - not too many people make it down that way, I guess!
Arches is fantastic. I've never hiked to Delicate at sunrise; but have done so several times at sunset. During a visit in 2020, they kept the park open; but no Rangers...so we were able to hike thru the Fiery Furnace area (which normally requires a Ranger guide). Point of interest; the Double Arch was used in the opening scene to one of the Indiana Jones films. In Dec; near sunset, you can get a real cool pic of sunlight passing thru the two holes of the Turret Arch and striking between the North and South Window arches; forming (with imagination) a cat face.
thank you both for the video, seeing what you saw make me feel to try an visit it , in making the walk in those arches. my g/f / wife , try , what else your you going to do?, well in June i will try. but watching your video i feel already i was there,! thank you again.
Great video! I loved Adams performance😂. I hope you had time to do Devils Garden and see Double O! Such a fun hike😊. Looking forward to seeing your next Arches video.
Another well done clip! Got addicted following your adventure. I wish I could give you more Likes. Btw, you should see Delicate Arch at sunset. Lot more beautiful than at sunrise when the whole arch turns to magical orange color
We heard sunset is the ideal time, but we also hear it's SO crowded, so we are happy to forgo the best lighting for less humans haha! Thanks so much for watching!
I just stumbled upon your channel while searching. You guys are great! I appreciate your informative videos and realistic viewpoints on the areas you visit. Can't wait to watch even more!
@@AdventuresofAplusK by the way, it's official, hitting the road for good tomorrow morning. First stop south dakota... then, who knows? But I'm going to have some of that thai food for sure... :)
Delicate Arch is amazing at sunrise! The lighting was really good despite sunset being more famous. Great video. The scale of double arch when you're standing under it is amazing. Next video Devil's Garden?!? The hike to Double O is sooooo neat along the rock spines
For breakfast I can recommend the Jailhouse cafe. It's on Main and 100 No. We staid 3 nights in Moab and had 3 times breakfast there. It's mandatory to have a good walk afterwards because you will get a lot of calories.
Double Arch recently won Utah’s Favorite Arch in a poll by KSL (a local news outlet). Definitely our family’s favorite, too. It was also featured as a backdrop for a scene in an Indiana Jones film.
Arches!!!!! I spent many of my childhood vacations at Arches and Canyonlands. My favorites!!!! It's been so much fun watching you enjoy Utah! I'd love to see you explore what we have up North sometime!
Hello Adventurers😊😊, Arches is definitely one of my favorite National Parks. I have been to Arches several times...i just can't get enough of this beautiful display of massive arches and HUGE rock formations, especially Park Ave! I'm so happy that y'all got the chance to explore this beautiful Park. Great video👍👍! Can't wait to see what's next.
We missed out on Delicate Arch and it's one of our biggest regrets, but the park closed due to capacity the day we saved it for 😢 just a reason to go back!
OK.. Today's comment.... If you hike, you can get to Tower Arch off the Salt Valley road OR (here's the jeep rental thing again) you can take the 4wd road to the arch and then catch Eye of the Whale on the way out. Don't miss Fisher's Towers out on Hwy 128.
One thing nobody mentions about Delicate Arch is how it is situated on the edge of a giant sort of rock bowl. Walking around the area is tough on the ankles. But worth it!!!
We started to take a family trip to Arches in 2018, but it got derailed to The Grand Canyon. ;) Still on the to do list though! LOL @ Adam on stage! :):)
Love you two. So funny and relaxed. Do you mind describe the lines at entrance? I am sure no line at 3 am but what about coming back from Moab after lunch?
Surprisingly not bad at all! I thinkkk we may have thrown in a quick clip coming back in (or maybe I left it out, I don't remember), but it took maybe 5 minutes max to get back in. HOWEVER, we passed by the park a few times during our two weeks in the area and it was full. We visited on a weekday, which I think helped a good amount! Sunrise and sunset times are definitely less busy in the park, so if you do leave, coming back late afternoon will probably be fine, like it was for us.
I'll be in Utah the week of June 5 and I'm using your videos to plan my trip. Sunset is going to work better for me for Delicate Arch. I heard you say something about biting gnats and someone else commented about them on AllTrails. Bug spray suggestions?
Those little biting gnats were an unpleasant surprise! We only ran into them at Delicate Arch thankfully, but didn't have any bug spray on us at the time. We typically use OFF! spray, but cannot confirm that they keep these pesty little guys away!
