We just arrived to North Cascades National Park after being stationary for the last few months in North Idaho. It's always been a dream of ours to be able to travel in the RV, and now we finally get to do that! We decide to stretch our RV skills and try out dry camping for the first time. Join us as we try to figure out the world of no hookups and explore a bit of the beauty that surrounds this national park in Washington.

WOW! That was so beautiful, peaceful, and serene. Thank you for sharing. You all have this. You learn more and more with each trip and camping. It was wonderful that you basically had the place to yourselves, that was a bonus. There has been a lot of thefts from people that have been boondocking & dry camping. Stay safe out there! May God continue to bless and protect you all!

How has the summer gone. I ended up in New Mexico. Do you miss the California Desert? I don't miss North Dakota. Happy travels

Summer has been ok, winter is definitely what we prefer though! We were in California recently and it was 110 degrees. Don’t miss that lol. Thanks for watching - Alex

So glad you got to experience a bit of the North Cascades! It's a gorgeous park, and we've only scratched the surface of it ourselves, even though we live only a few hours away. We were hoping to camp there back in July, but the temperatures got way too high for us. Nice work dry camping for the first time! The more you do it, the better you'll get at reducing your power needs, water consumption, and such. And we've learned from experience that you definitely need a carbon monoxide detector if you're running a generator anywhere around your RV. Back in January, our detector alerted us to CO inside when we were running our generator just off the side of our RV. Blessings! 👍

Yes it’s definitely beautiful. We plan to come back soon as there is so much to see. Thanks for the tip on CO detector! Thanks for watching! - Alex

You never mentioned your battery situation. Maybe add 1 or 2. They don't have to be the big expensive lithiums though some are coming down in price. I have 2 AGMs and can last the night if it's just the heater and some lights. Solar is probably not worth it in the PNW, but generator during the day then shut down at night.

Hello, we have upgraded since this video. We now have 3 x 230ah lithium batteries with like 800 watts of solar. That along with the generator has kept us with plenty of power. Thanks for watching!

Hey Doug, no way that’s awesome! We actually stood on Whidbey Island shortly after our visit to North Cascades. That entire area is beautiful. You guys get great weather there.
