Yes, it's almost all real. The flashes at the keyboard player are post-production in form, but they have shown something similar at other concerts with a Tesla coil. All the fire, the rocket that goes to the back of the audience, comes back and triggers the huge wall of fire, but that's all real and not post-production. Take a look at some other Rammstein videos, for example from Paris or Madison Square Garden, if you liked that just a little bit - then you will be thrilled.
Fun fact: the lead singer Till Linderman is a master pyrotechnic and he actually sets up all of Rammstein's concerts. But check out all of Rammstein's official videos and you will be a fan of them instantly
First time here and have subscribed because i enjoyed your reaction to Rammstein.. @@wintersun158 Too bad you are not even able to write a "please" - let alone read through the post you are replying to. RU-vid Reactor channels are not really "Alexa, play xy" or "Hey Google, play me the song of ...". And just to be clear: I have absolutely nothing to do with the channel here and this is my 2nd post with them, got a notification because I had already written here - but with unfriendly, demanding post like yours I get triggered pretty quickly.
Till Lindemann the singer is a licensed pyrotechnician. So yes, the show is Real :). The title" Du hast" = "You have" is a play on words with the second person singular of have and hate. In terms of content, it is about a marriage proposal in which the lyrical self is at first undecided whether it accepts it, but ultimately decides against it, which becomes clear in the chorus: "Willst du bis der Tod euch scheide Treu ihr sein für alle Tage?" = "Do you want to be faithful to you for all days until death separates you? "Mein Teil" = "My part or " Ich tu dir weh" = "I hurt you" or " Feuer frei" = " fire at will" are highly recommended to watch too :). Greetings from Germany and a nice day :D
Are the bolts on Flakes hands real too? I have never been to a live show so I have always wondered if those were real or edited into recordings of shows. I figure they are somehow real but my brain does not understand how.
Best live band on earth by far All the other bands are preschoolars compared to Rammstein, when it comes to showmanship, pyro and live music perfection. Rammstein concerts are a lifetime experience.
@@subway5907 I'm not sure what's the point in comparing at all. For a fan it is always the own band that is the most amazing in the world. So no sense in arguing about that. BTW, I like both, Rammstein and Babymetal and both are absloutely great in their own ways.
to be honest, it's only the english speaking world that think's its amazing cos our minds are still stuck in a World War 2 mindset. Europe (but, of course, not England) has moved on.
@@mijmijrm True. Nothing really amazing about this in 2021. France is just a province of europe now, such as germany, lol. And the german-french friendship is big anyway.
He shot the red flares. The white ones were different, fired back from the scaffolding, and the stage "explosion" was just perfectly timed. No one does pyro like Rammstein.
That it's "just" absolutely perfect timing explains a lot. Thank you Steve, for solving the many years of questioning htf they made these damn flares come back!
@@Nea-van-R. the 'return fire' is done by spark wires. it's basically the same tech as the sparklers used at new years eve, or july 4th if you're american, but with only a fraction of the substance that actually does the sparking... there are metal ropes hung between the stage and whereever the sparks are meant to come from, at the correct time they are activated by an electric signal, and it looks like sparks are flying toward the stage.
@@Nea-van-R. I realize your comment is a year old, but it's just a bit of stage magic. Till is just shooting red flares. At the same time, the red rockets are launched out on cables from the stage to the the delay towers, from where the white rockets return on cables.
Great reaction, love to watch people discovering Rammstein! All pyro including fireworks on their live shows is real. Till Lindemann (lead singer) is a licensed pyrotechnician. My next suggestion for you will be "Ich Tu Dir Weh" live from Madison Square Garden. Thank you, greetings from Russia 💜
One of the best live bands ever. I saw them back in the day in a small ass theatre and they shot flame throwers over the crowd. You could feel the heat on your head. It was awesome 🔥🖤 You should check out both versions of Mein Herz Brennt.
Yes, that's right, those pyrotechnics were real. That is what makes Rammstein's live shows such a great event. The flashing lights, the flames and the fireworks, all perfectly synchronized with the rythm of the music.
In the late 90s, when I saw them opening for Kiss here in Brazil (that was 1999 at the Interlagos race track grounds), the singer sang a whole song (called Rammstein) while his coat was on fire. It was a special coat, of course, and he was wearing protective goggles as well, but stil... These guys are crazy good. Check out their recent song Deutschland, about Germany's history.
The most remarkable thing about this video from this concert is often lost to the American reactors: That concert was happening in Paris and the crowd is singing in German, what is a very hard thing to do for a Frenchman. French is a soft, romance language during German is a hard germanic language.
And French people are very reluctant to speak any language other than French in their own country. Besides, the Germans and the French have a difficult past, which makes it even more remarkable.
The Rammstein pyro is incredible, and their live shows are amazing. In some live version of Engel, Till would wear metal wings that could shoot fire. This was sometimes done as the last song of shows and involved the stage collapsing (intentionally) as well. Those wings weighed at least 100 pounds, and Till had the strength/stamina to wear them and sing at the end of shows. I think the show at Madison Square Garden does this.
That, and the keyboardist is such a high-energy person that not only did he still have energy at the end of shows, but he had so much that he requested that the band allow him to be on a treadmill for the entire performance, just to keep him from melting-down. Whatever chemical gives a performing member of Rammstein energy equivalent to a nuclear reaction really needs to be bottled. Or maybe that's how we all die, I dunno.
Rammstein is a band that surprises over and over again when you think you’ve seen it all already. And yes, they like to use pyrotechnics. Very much : )
"I've never heard Rammstein before". Knows without watching that both are going to be blown away. Watches out of sheer pleasure for what I anticipate to come. Edit: wasn't disappointed, obvs.
And we both know that it is a lie. There are bands you cant escape. The same like you cant say you listen to Queen for the first time or Beetles. Some songs are too popular and they are plyed everywhere.
I witnessed it several times live since this is a standard in their shows - Till shoots the flaregun/rocket launcher above the audiences heads and the "rockets" return to the stage and everything explodes. Rammstein are something else!
I worked with the band few times. When I saw the lead pyro tech first time he had a t-skirt wich sayed: "I'm working with pyrotechnic, if you see me running -try to keep up..."
Rammstein's shows are always real! They don't do things by halves! But you have to admit that the official videos have been edited accordingly. But all the effects and actions are real! That's why they have the best stage show in the world!
Yes, yes it was real. I've seen them live before and it was fucking insane. Their pyro show was absolutely insane! They also have a "flame section" in the concert tickets, for anyone who wants to leave with no hair left lol
That fireworks is real, my friend had the opertunity to see it live in Croatia on their concert, and yes they are like that, they interact with the crowd and you get a lot and more from their concerts.
Rammstien are by far the greatest live act on Earth. I have seen them 4 times now and will carry on going to see them until they cease touring. They use a 40ft long tanker of cerrosene for every show, all the pyro is real. Check out Volkerball from earlier in thier career. It is an amazing gig in a Roman Collesium in France.
The area directly in front of the stage is called "Fire Zone", and it's possible to get special tickets for it. If you go in there, it gets *very* hot, and they'll continue to spray water over the people there to give them some cooling. You won't see this show in the US though; fire regulations there forbid a lot of their pyrotechnics, so you need to watch them in Europe for a full experience.
1) This music style is called "Industrial". 2) All pyrotechnics are real and those weren't even the most sensational ones on a Rammstein concert. 3) The lightnings from the keyboard of Flake (the treadmill guy) were fake/edited. I didn't like it because normally all effects on a Rammstein concert are real and those lightnings were unnecessary. 4) "Du hast" is "reacted to death" on RU-vid and it isn't even one of their best songs. One of their best songs is "Spring!" (jump!) in connection with the best fanmade video ever. But it is rarely reacted to, because the reaction channels are all reacting to their biggest hits first...and on that way they all reacting to the same tired old stuff like "Du hast". @@SparkimusPrime Me, too. Unfortunately the singer of "Oomph!" quit the band now, too. But there are still plenty of such bands around. Eisbrecher, Die Krupps, Megaherz, Lord of the lost, KMFDM...they are still there.
personally I agree with everything you said but you cant say that Srping is better than Du Hast. I mean I like it better too but music is taste dependend so no song is better than the other, its just personal preference
@@Masi154 Maybe I've heard Du Hast a little too often since it became a hit in the 90's and maybe I've seen too many people reacting to that song...because they seem not to know any other Rammstein songs.
A belated welcome to the wonderful happy fun world of Rammstein . So glad you both enjoyed it. They are simply majestic live. In fact, in my opinion, there are not enough superlatives to describe just how good a band Rammstein is.
One of the best live bands you will ever see in our lifetime these guys a genius. And I believe lead singer is a fully qualified pyrotechnics expert. Great reaction guys
The first time I heard and saw a Rammstein video was more than twenty years ago at about two thirty in the morning. I forget which song it was, but the singer stood on stage with his hands behind his back until the instrumental, then when he brought his hands out, a mass of sparks flew from pyrotechnic tubes on his fingers. After hearing that song I went and bought their album the very next day.
Hello Love your reaction! In 1988 there was a flight show accident near the German town Ramstein (only 1 m,not 2!). 70 people were killed,1000 injured. The song ``Rammstein``is about this.Best versions from their 2019 tour,Berlin or Moscow. Another great song inspired by a real case is Mein Teil (My Part) Background and composition: The song is inspired by the case of Armin Meiwes and Bernd Jürgen Armando Brandes. In March 2001, in Rotenburg an der Fulda, the two men aged in their 40s met each other, cut off and cooked Brandes' penis and consumed it together. Afterwards, Meiwes killed Brandes - with Brandes' permission - and ate his remains. As a result, Meiwes was sentenced to eight-and-a-half years in jail for manslaughter, but was later charged with murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. According to bassist Oliver "Ollie" Riedel, the song came about after "one of our members brought a newspaper to rehearsal and it had a story about the cannibal guy in it. We were fascinated, shocked and amused at the same time". Vocalist Till Lindemann stated, "It is so sick that it becomes fascinating and there just has to be a song about it".[2] A prominent phrase in the song is "... denn du bist, was du isst, und ihr wisst, was es ist" ("Because you are what you eat, and you (pl.) know what it is"). Best version here is Hurricane festival 2013 Hope you like these informations!Looking forward for more Rammstein reactions Greetings from Germany,Rainer
ha, welcome to Rammstein. Yes the fire is real. The front standing section of a live show is literally called the "fire zone". Rammstein are absolutely epic, been following them for over 2 decades now, it never gets old. Iconic. I'm sure others will have written more explaining the band, the song meaning(s) etc, how their Industrial Metal kinda started a new genre, "new German hardness" I think it translates, how the band are skilled licensed pyrotechnicians, how their music generally has layer upon layer of meaning and ambiguity, etc etc So I'll just say, enjoy. There's a lot there to enjoy, some you'll need lyrics/translations to appreciate, but I think you'll be enjoying more Rammstein!!
This live version, to my mind, is way better than the studio version - the crowd add to the power of this track. Utterly brilliant, always gives me goose bumps.
You choosed my favourite song of them for this video. "Du hast" was one of the most listened songs in my childhood and my youth. And next month I finally can see them live for the first time (in almost 30 years of being a fan). If you have the chance, try to go to one of there shows which starting this sunday in Prague. No one will know, if there will be a next tour or not.
Nice Reaction! If you'd like to see an earlier performance, check out "Rammstein - Weißes Fleisch & Asche zu Asche (Big Day Out Festival 2001)". If you want to see a great entertaining show check out "Rammstein - Ich Tu Dir Weh (Live from Madison Square Garden)". A pyro hell can be seen in "Rammstein - Rammstein (Live Video - 2019)" - from the stadium tour. This is a fan made video, but the quality is pretty good. For me the best concerts that can be seen on DVD (and some videos on RU-vid) are "Rammstein: Paris" and "Rammstein live in America - Madison Square Garden" There you can find a lot of really good performances. But not to forget their music videos, they are also very special ! and great!! Welcome to your Rammstein trip 🤘🖤😁
The keyboardist is on the treadmill in order to keep him off the Segway. He used to ride a Segway around the stage between his parts in the song. He hit the singer once and injured him, so the treadmill.
The cool thing is that the led singer Til is a licensed expert pyrotechnition which means they can do pyrotechnic that other bands can't because those bands can't get pyrotechnitions to do it for insurance purposes. But Ramstein doesn't have those problems cause of Til. So they can do some crazy stuff
Rammstein doesn't need to fake pyrotechnics in their videos because everyone watching the live performances they make stand in awe. I recommend watching Mein Teil, Engel, ich tu dir weh.
O yes, all the pyro in their concerts is real (and thats one reason why they're famous) - I've twice been to a Rammstein concert and it was really HOT !
You've barely scratched the surface😉 If you wanna have your mind blown in terms if pyro effects, check out their performance of "Sonne" (multicam) live @ Saint Petersburg 2019!
You must see them live. The Pyro show is crazy and it’s real like in this video. The live sound is just awesome. Saw them 3 times now and I’m a huge fan
Flake is the keyboardist, he doesn’t like standing still. This song is 20+ years old, it is their signature song… it has a life of its own. Welcome to the rabbit hole that is rammstein. Til, the singer, is a certified pyrotechnician. You ain’t seen nothin yet
These are my fav what I call new wave heavy. Not quite with Led Zeppelin for me but my daughter has been to two live shows and plays it in the car when we go for drives. The are addictive!
You ABSOLUTELY MUST get these texts!!! If they do not lose meaning through the translation you will find that only the TEXTS are pure art. Greetings from Germany
There's nothing real about a Rammstein show, it's a madman's dream. You walk out not sure whether reality is still intact. If you get a chance - go, see it live. There's nothing like it. The music is great, but the show as a whole transcends that. FFS, when I think about it I still feel the heat of the fires during Sonne on my face...
The lead vocalist (Till Lindemann) is a certified and licensed pyrotechnician, meaning all their performances are, in some shape or form, with fire and/or fireworks
The action with the fireworks did not even take place in a stadium, but in a hall ( Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy ) and would be unthinkable in America due to their immense safety regulations. If they go on tour there, the fans miss out on a lot and will never get to see many effects ! 😫
Yes he's (Till) one of the best & highly certified pyrotechnics... also used to be an Olympic swimmer & the band has been together since 1991 or so. . . They are legit amazing!!! Till has a solo type project under his last name Lindemann too you should check out too!
