Me too I've been to Hong Kong many times on way to Macau then to Zhongshan district and then to my hometown Daiwan village I was born in 1929 came to SF 1939 at age ten went to school at Chinatown St Mary's then to Courtland grammar school then to Iselton grammar school then Courtland High school then got drafted in to the US Army fought at Seoul and Pusan after honorable discharge long story sayonara for now .

Make sure distinguish between Northern Dim Sum vs Cantonese Dim Sum; extremely different. I think much easier to find Michelin Star Northern Dim Sum than Cantonese Dim Sum as Cantonese Dim Sum is near impossible to find with Michelin Star quality. The ingredients and process is more complex in Cantonese Dim Sum :)

23:27 The tingly-then-numb sensation is frequently caused by Sichuan peppercorns (Szechuan pepper), similar to peppercorns but most who eat it describe that reaction. Very common in Chinese food. I freaked first time I experienced it. Research showed it produces a phenomenon called paraesthesia, in which the lips and tongue feel as though they are vibrating and go vaguely numb.

Love your energy, but please be aware that there are lots of notices on the trams saying do not hang out of the windows. Some trams pass in the opposite direction right alongside and it's extremely dangerous. Also, a Michelin guide sticker is VERY different to a Michelin star

You should try the coffee & tea mixed drink in Hong Kong. They are heavenly & you can only drink them in Hong Kong! You should try the roasted pork, roated duck & WunTun Noodle with Hong Kong favour!

Next time you're back, pick up an "Octopus" stored value card which can be used for the MTR subway, buses, trams, and pretty much all restaurants and retail stores. Way more convenient than using cash or having to purchase tickets each time you catch the MTR. You can get a tourist Octopus card from any of the MTR stations.

Check out Ocean Park on HK Island which is an expansive theme park, somewhat similar to Disneyland. Also, you could take a ferry to one of the outlying islands such as Cheung Chau and Lamma Island.

It looks like very thing is ok but actually, Hongkong is not a normal city now. Right now, there are at least 48 persons, including University Professors, Lawyers, Teachers, Reporters spending their 4th year in prison and without trial. China govt is going to keep them in life imprisonment. It's just because their thoughts are against China. And there are hundreds of Hongkong ordinary people have been sentenced to jail for over 5 years. At least 2 persons in prison were forced to do TV show to say China govt is absolutely right in exchange for less torture in prison. Even in Africa, country like Senegal, the old president would only keep his rivalry leader Bassirou Diomaye Faye in prison for just 1 year and then allow him to join the president election and let him be the next president after fair election. How can you pretend to know nothing about them and continue to play happily in Hongkong? That's what the China govt want you to do. Please read "European Union message to China on human rights day" before going to China.
