Jungkook was the first Korean artist to perform in Times Square. Not everyone can perform if they want to. It was a surprised performance, but it drew such a large crowd, and it was a free performance on a huge stage in the middle of New York. Isn't it surprising? Especially performing there, it would be difficult even for a singer without some level of skill. The same was true for the performance at the opening ceremony of the Qatar World Cup. Jeon Jungkook is not a K-pop idol, but a world-class super pop star.

It was unannounced and it’s not on New Year’s eve. I’m one of the people who got there late. I can’t imagine how much bigger the crowd will be if they told us early enough so we can drive there on time. I live 40 minutes away but was at work so I couldn’t leave eventhough some people had a hunch that something will happen in Times Square. Around 3 or 4 the dancers were seen walking around Times Square and I think this happened 5 pm. Imagine how I feel driving 10 minutes away around 5. By the time I parked the performance was over but the crowd was still crazy when I got there.
